In some ways, the restaurant is tastefully crafted, reminiscent of passing through an art gallery, and beautifully furnished with stunning oneofakind wooden chairs and tables. The food is also excellent. The room we stayed in was number 7 and was a decently sized family room with plenty of space for the three of us and, again, beautifully furnished. Its not easy to balance rustic charm with a luxurious attitude, but these men have successfully managed that. Apparently, it underwent a complete renovation during the closure of Couid, and the renovation has been nothing short of spectacular.

Highly advisable! The hotel's owners, Mandy and Alan, as well as all of their employees, were fantastic! They were helpful, kind, and extremely proficient. Our room 1, which was stunning in every way, was spacious, spacious, stylish, and spotless. The apartment includes a stunning, secure shower room that is cleaned daily by a lovely young woman. Beautiful works of art from the hotel are displayed, many of which are by local artists. The hotel offers a warm and welcoming setting, making you feel at home. The menu has great food, all of which are delicious and beautifully presented. The waiting staff provided excellent and prompt service, and all the attendants provided excellent service.

I booked a family room for myself and my parents when I was departing Edinburgh Airport. Very easy to find and park on the street, but I later discovered that there was a parking lot in the back. Check in was simple, and the staff was really friendly. Our family room was on the opposite side of the parking lot and turned out to be a separate apartment with a double bedroom, a single room, and a bathroom. All very well decorated and very comfortable. We had dinner in the hotel's restaurant, but I recommend booking a table as we almost didn't get a table. The food was delicious and well-appointed rooms. The night before, we had to order breakfast according to our anticipated time. We all slept well and it was very quiet. Breakfast was in a different dining area and was all set up ready for us when we arrived. The food was delicious and the eggs perfect. A great stay and we will definitely stay there again.

We stayed one night on our way to the Funds Castle, the owner and staff were so helpful, the evening meal was good, the breakfast was very good, and the room was spotless and gorgeous, will stay there again and recommend to friends and family.

Park outside in the street, there is a small notice by the side entrance stating not for cars. The parking lot is down a side street and round the back, but how did you know? Whilst the exterior is a bit stark, the interior has been renovated to a high standard and strong design. The staff is mostly friendly and so is our room. One in front was a decent size with a large, well equipped bathroom and walkin shower, and it was long. The menu doesn't bode well, but we rebooted and made the most of it. To our surprise what was served while being true to the menu description was a world away in quality and presentation. Breakfast was unusual. Preselected the night before it appeared pennypinching, which is in opposition to other offerings. One can have cooked or cereal, but not a mixture. Possible staffing issues, there was only one harassed manager there and little service. The food itself was very good but did not feel relaxed or generous. Are we at the centre of a free breakfast room only divide? Better one or the other than a try at one. However, it wasnt made clear beforehand so we had to roll with it, and it doesnt take away what was a surprisingly good experience in a beautiful village.
