Tucked away as Victorian mansion, surrounded by woodland, wooden panelling could have been gloomy, but friendly staff and very comfortable bed made an enjoyable stay. Lift would have been helpful, but guess listed status preclude this. Bar food not brilliant.

This was a perfect place for us to break up our journey. We were looking for something other than the typical mass market hotel and this certainly filled the bill. I was particularly impressed with the friendly and helpful staff.

We arrived to a warm and welcoming staff. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds. There was a well lit log fire set in a comfortable hallway. Our room was warm and comfortable and everything you expect on your stay. We had a very nice tasty meal at reasonable price. Will certainly be staying again in the future.

Beautiful setting in its own grounds. A very impressive looking hotel that does not disappoint when you walk in. Lovely public areas and a large room that was well appointed and had an homely feel to it. I was on a business trip. But would go back for a weekend stay. Just so I can enjoy the food again.

A beautiful hotel I would recommend to anybody. Everything was perfect and the meal we had was most enjoyable. I could have stayed here a week quite easily, loved it.
