Everything was good but the building is showing its age.

Unfortunately in my single room there was no side table and the floor is on a slope. But saying that , I managed and would certainly recommend this hotel,it's beautiful setting ,lovely breakfast, all the staff do an excel job , a lift to all floors . excellent!

We were allocated a huge room with a lovely sitting area - in great condition and very comfortable apart from the heat! It was in full afternoon sun and only 2 of the 4 sash windows would open at all, and the bathroom window was also seized. The electric fans did nothing to help! There was no bathroom blind at all, which might have helped to block some of the greenhouse effect.

This is a large old hotel in an old spa town. My first room required lugging my suitcase along many corriders through and around corners. I asked fir another room close to the elevator and they kindly obliged. -actually giving me a much nicer room. The hotels.com room was very very basic and small. The staff was always helpful . I enjoyed my 3 day stay. I had a big english breakfast with French press coffee instead if the ever present and tiresome m, extremely bitter espresso machines!

As a solo traveller, this was an excellent place to stay. Very helpful and friendly staff and a welcoming venue not far from the railway station. Lots of public spaces for reading/relaxing. Varied menu and great presentation. Very impressed by the young waiting staff at breakfast - smart and polite.
