Our stay at Dao was lovely. Everything was very comfortable and the staff very helpful. There was a problem with the air conditioning so they got us a fan and a bit of a refund. Beautiful hotel, I would definitely stay again.

Väldigt trevligt, nyrenoverat hotell som ligger i det gamla art deco rådhuset! Nära till buss för att ta sig till centrala London ca 20 min. Stort fint lägenhets rum med kylskåp,spis,spisfläkt och utrustning för att laga mat om man vill. Safty box, fön, strykmaskin och väldigt sköna badrockar. 2 "tjejer" från Sverige

Dao Dorsett in Hornsey Town Hall is a beautiful hotel with beautiful rooms and very helpful staff. The decor is mainly Art Deco loyal to the history of Hornsey Town Hall with modern touches and quality flooring, bathrooms and furniture. The rooms though can benefit from offering guests toiletries, slippers, some biscuits and more water. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. Thank you.

Staff at the hotel were exceptionally helpful. The room was very clean and well equipped for self catering- although we did not need this. Location is great for Crouch End and also convenient to access central London.

We had a kitchenette bedroom, this was immaculate, genuinely one of the most modern hotel rooms we've stayed in. The decor was nice and everything was clean, bed was also really comfortable. The staff were also very attentive and easy to speak to. Highly recommend this place.

Large room with separate living room / kitchenette area. All clean. All staff we saw were very friendly and any questions / needs where sorted straight away. Location great with lots of cafes close. Went to Cubes for breakfast which was delicious. Bus stops outside hotel, which we used for Finsbury park station (9mins) and Alexander palace bus just around the corner. Will def stay here again when going to Alexander palace for concerts.

A sensational location - in the middle of the Hornsey Town Hall, one of my favourite buildings in London. The room was absolutely spotless, and featured remarkable art deco features. The staff were brilliant too - I’d definitely stay again!

Our hosts on arrival were so friendly and personally showed us to the room. The studio was incredible - larger than expected with a lovely shower room and a coffee machine! Would not hesitate to stay again next time we are visiting Alexandra palace.

Quiet location. Fast check-in but £50 security deposit taken. Comfortable beds. Spongey pillows. Had a twin room which looked like a double but beds pushed apart. One was pushed too far and had a light handgun down over it which was easy to knock. Dirty coffee cup left in cupboard. Someone else's water left in the fridge. No instructions on how to use coffee machine. Not asked how our stay was on check-out. Good pubs and restaurants nearby with Tesco and Sainsbury across the road.

Not the best experience. Cool, art deco building and room, but… No signage for the hotel at all. It’s within the town hall. Bad directions for parking. I had 2 horrible bites, which may be nothing to do with the hotel, of course. It seems like the hotel is an afterthought, when the town hall is not fully in use. Felt like a room in an office block.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this hotel was disappointing. One of the reasons I booked this property instead of an Airbnb was the expectation of basic hotel amenities and comfort. Unfortunately, the hotel advertised having a bar and restaurant, but neither was actually available during my stay. This felt misleading from the start. The biggest issue, however, was the air conditioning. On the day I checked in, I was told the AC was not working throughout the hotel and would be fixed the following day (Saturday). When Saturday came, I was told it could not be repaired until Monday because it was the weekend. By Monday, the AC was still not working. As a result, I spent four nights sweating through uncomfortable nights in my room. What made the situation even more frustrating was that when I checked out, the staff member at the front desk claimed he was unaware of any air conditioning issues at all. When I asked what could be done to compensate for the inconvenience, the answer was essentially nothing. There was no apology that matched the situation and no attempt to make things right.
