The staff was professional, knowledgable and courteous. The hotel is located in a neighborhood across from Hyde Park allowing for a nice morning stroll/walk at 7:30am. Beautiful large trees. Also, if you can manage your luggage by yourself, the walk to Paddington Train station takes all of 10 minutes to get into the facility. (Save taxi fare. ) Note: London was hot when I was there ( 80's ) so I walked to Paddington around 8:30 am, when the heat wasn't too bad. Breakfast was fairly simple and light. (Coffee, tea, hard boiled eggs , fresh fruit, ie apples and bananas, etc) Solid WIFI conection.

If you are looking for a "no-frills" base of operations in Central London, the Days Inn by Wyndham London Hyde Park hits the sweet spot between affordability and accessibility. Housed in a traditional Georgian terrace on Sussex Gardens, it offers a more classic London aesthetic than your typical budget chain. The Good: Location & Logistics The hotel’s greatest asset is its unbeatable location. Transport: It is a 2-minute walk from Paddington Station, making it incredibly convenient if you’re arriving via the Heathrow Express or using the Elizabeth Line. Green Space: Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens are just a 5-minute stroll away. Staff: Guests consistently praise the front desk team for being professional and accommodating, often facilitating early check-ins or luggage storage. The Room Experience The rooms are clean and functional, equipped with essential modern comforts like reliable Wi-Fi, air conditioning (a lifesaver in London summers), and tea/coffee facilities. However, be prepared for "compact" living. In true London fashion, the rooms and bathrooms—especially the singles—are quite small. If you are traveling with large suitcases, it may feel a bit tight. Dining & Value Breakfast: A standard continental buffet is available. It’s convenient, though there are dozens of excellent cafes within a 5-minute walk if you prefer something more "artisanal." The Bar: There is a small on-site lounge bar, perfect for a quick nightcap before heading to bed.
