Loved the swimming pool, that’s the main reason I booked this hotel, however it was very warm, too warm to do much swimming. Our room was lovely and clean, if not a little dated. The breakfast was really good and the staff were excellent. We didn’t get round to using the spa, so we will be coming back. I would definitely recommend

We stayed for 5 nights. We moved from a standard room at the front corner of the hotel as it was noisy and claustrophobic. The en suite having been built into the corner of the room , so all the other stuff ie chairs table wardrobe were squeezed in. The poolside suite which we were kindly moved to was new, spacious had air con and walk in shower ,……. stunning altogether! Such a difference ! Could not fault it !!! It was so hot when we stayed, so made good use of the outdoor pool. Bar area had carpet that had come apart,… trip hazard! Staff were excellent. Breakfast was lovely except occasionally ran out of certain items. If we are in the area again we would certainly hope to stay again. We enjoyed the vibe of Helmsley altogether.

Yes we have really enjoyed our stay for the 3 nights. Our room was great and the day to day cleanliness by the room staff was first class. We want to come here again in the next month. Breakfast was good we only ate in the hotel for one evening meal which put us off, we had fish pie and was not the best choice ,it lacked fish variety, very small in size and not value for money.

The hotel was a welcoming oasis of comfort and luxury. The swimming pool was warm and enticing and the staff were very attentive. We hope to visit the hotel again. It is in a quiet location the centre of historic Helmsley and handy for the Yorkshire Moors.

The stay here was bought for us as a gift. It was such a thoughtful gift as we had 2 wonderful days / nights in the beautiful village of Helmsley. The heated pool was a real delight as was the use of the spa facilities.

Love the heated pool and Jacuzzi, seats around the pool possibly need new cushions and could do with a few more loungers but very relaxing

The spa is super , the rooms are simple but perfect and the staff are just so helpful and lovely I left something behind and it was no problem for the staff to arrange to send it back to me in London the next morning . Nothing is complicated as life should be and is very rarely found. It’s the second time I have been there and to Helmsley in the last 3 weeks and I will be back again soon . Thank you .

My friend and I had a girlie two night break at this hotel and loved it. When we arrived the receptionist noticed I was using a walking aid and unprompted started looking to change our room to an accessible room eliminating needing to use stairs. We were very touched by his thoughtfulness. It was an upgrade to a suite which was outstanding and it really enhanced our comfort and experience. We had a sitting room (with verandah) which was very comfortable and well equipped with a coffee maker, selection of high quality teas. There was a large bathroom and a super king size bed. Breakfast was nice, not outstanding but nice. The swimming pool was the big treat. Beautifully warm and the highlight of the stay. All the staff were very cheerful and friendly. This hotel is special and situated next to the Market Square which had lovely coffee shops, quaint shops and enticing pubs. Can’t wait to go back so thank you to all the staff especially Ali xxxxxx

Beautifully warm outdoor pool and jacuzzi even on a cloudy March day. Loved the steamy salt room. Really friendly staff and a good choice at breakfast. Will definitely be back.

The room was clean comfortable warm and very spacious. We looked out onto the outdoor pool. One night we heard them bell ringing at the church nearby for some time. All the staff were extremely kind and polite and we enjoyed our breakfasts.
