Great value city centre hotel. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms and a great location -loads of shops, bars, cafes & restaurants nearby, and just five minutes down to the Quayside.

En helt underbar upplevelse. Supergod frukost med den bäst tänkbara personalen och kock. Ett hotell vi varmt kan rekommendera både utifrån plats, tillgänglighet, närhet till Metro/tågstation, stort utbud av restauranger och shopping.

Prime location, great/clean rooms, comfortable beds. Friendly, helpful staff. The only surprise was the stairs to the room after we got off the elevator. If you have large/heavy luggage, and depending where your room is located, be prepared to hull your luggage. Also there are stairs within the unit (bedroom on lower level/bath on upper). Personally I liked this separation, but if you have mobility issues, let the staff know prior to booking your room. I would stay here again.

This is a great place for exploring Newcastle, very central , perfect amenities nearby and the heart of the city all in walking distance. Breakfast is spectacular; if you’re lucky, Maria will be on duty and not only take your order without rushing you but also look after you in a professional and warm manner. Should you happen to travel with your four legged friend , they will be made welcome, too. 🐶

An absolutely beautiful hotel! It's rare to find such a high quality establishment that's so friendly and welcoming. We particularly loved the comfy bed and excellent breakfast. The location is perfect, central yet quiet.

Value for money was excellent. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was superb. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will 100% stay again if the occasion arises. To split hairs (what's the point of a review otherwise?!) some of the furniture was a bit tired and worn, the bathroom was huge but with odd layout meaning the toilet was up against the basin for some reason, and the towel rail was leaking on the floor. It should also be noted that due to it's excellent city centre location the nightlife can be heard until the early hours at the weekend. None of this detracted from what was an excellent hotel though.

Had a wonderful time in Newcastle, in part due to my stay at Grey Street Hotel. The location is great, at a lovely vibrant street very close to the train and metro. The building has lots of character, my room was tidy, plenty spacious, well-equipped, cool, quiet, and comfortable with a nice view. Especially appreciated the bath/shower combo which allowed a nice relaxing bath or a quick shower. Staff was very friendly, and I found the breakfast better than other hotels as a variety of dishes can be made on-demand in addition to the available buffet. Will definitely come back here for future visits to Newcastle!

Grey Street Hotel is in a lovely part of the city and you can easily walk to loads of places to eat, drink, and see. The staff were really helpful, the room comfy and well maintained (Emily made up our room part way through our stay and it was thoughtfully done), we would certainly recommend.
