The staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was comfy also accommodated our dog, had a nice view of the garden. Breakfast was good. Even had a meal in the restaurant of an evening good choice and food was to our liking. Would definitely go back when in the area.

We decided to book a night at the ladt minute and came to the half moon. Owners were so welcoming and dog friendly, we decided to stay an extra night.

I spent 2 nights here whilst working in Alford for the weekend - I had my 8 month old son and my Mum with me. From the beginning, the staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great, and so was the evening food in the restaurant. Excellent shower, and a comfortable bed too. What more could you want?! Will definitely stay again, and recommend to others.

We stayed here for one night with our two young children and couldn't refommend enough. The owners and all the staff were so friendly and the room was lovely. Breakfast was also to a very high standard. If we are ever in the area again we will be sure to stay!

Swopped for a ground floor room at hotel suggestion. Lovely room close to car park. Comfy bed and good breakfast. Would recommend to friends.

Excellent. Attention to detail was noticeable. Easy parking, lovely breakfast and a VERY comfortable bedroom with plenty of space and top quality linen. Would stay again tomorrow!!!!!

Stayed one night before our annual cricket club golf day in nearby Woodthorpe. The hotel is right in the centre of the village. The rooms were clean, the evening meal was good, the breakfast was outstanding
