We liked the central location of the hotel. Queen Bedroom was comfortable and clean. Good air conditioning. Staff were helpful and smiling. The breakfast was excellent. There's no car parking with the hotel but a discounted rate was given for Times Square car park 10 minutes walk from the hotel.

We stayed during the heat-wave and we were delighted with the air conditioning.. allowed a really good night's sleep. The bedroom was clean and functional but two tiny quibbles .. no reading lamps beside the bed and no proper make-up mirror .. no proper lighting for this. The staff were wonderful .. helpful, kind, friendly, enthusiastic and patient .. they couldn't have been better. 6 stars! The breakfast was ok .. no frills .. the coffee was dire .. could have been more fresh fruit. The location was perfect .. in the centre of everything yet not noisy, opposite the main station, near shops, art galleries, museums and theatres. I highly recommend staying here.

This is an excellent hotel in all aspects. It is right across the street from the Newcastle train and metro station, which gives easy access to many beautiful places near Newcastle (e.g., Tynemouth, Durham, etc.). The room was spacious, conveniently designed, and clean. The staff was helpful and professional. The hot breakfast was also a good way to start the day. I am a seasoned traveler and have stayed at a variety of hotels. This is one of the most comfortable hotels I would recommend. It is even better than its parent, Hilton.

The Hampton at Newcastle is literally across the road from the main train Station and Metro, so that is a big bonus. The Hotel Room was very good and tea/coffee facilities in room. Staff were most helpful and very pleasant. Idea and no complaints.

Great hotel a stone throw from Newcastle Central Station. Plenty bars, shops and restaurants nearby. Very clean room, corridors and public areas. Helpful, friendly staff. Room a good size for a family of 3. Even had a safe which you don't often see. Aircon good (once we worked out the best settings!). Comfortable beds. A tiny bit of street noise but nothing that would keep you awake. We heard nothing from other rooms (above/below/adjacent). Breakfast usual "free breakfast" fayre. Food was plentiful, hot and well stocked. Restaurant was kept very clean during service. Nice bar/lobby area too. They do have bar food but we didn't try it. Would definitely come back when back in Newcastle.
