I've always loved the ibis brand of hotels, but this one was by far the best I've stayed in yet. The rooms are basic but clean, comfortable and functional. This one has an on-site bar and restaurant, and I chose to have my evening meal here (the best food I've ever eaten!). It may be outside the city centre, but it's still walkable, and there's a screen opposite the reception for booking an Uber for those who don't want to walk into town. All-you-can-eat breakfast was great - £10.50 if booked on the day of check-in or £12 if you decide the following morning - and there's plenty of choice. Very friendly and efficient staff. I'll be back!

We only stayed one night, but the room was very clean and functional. No frills but had kettle, coffee, tea & biscuits. Lovely powerful shower. And at night the room was lovely and dark, just how I like it! Great curtains. No noise with window shut. Can hear road noise if window open. Nice little bar downstairs. All in all a good experience. Would stay again.

Didn’t have breakfast. Room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. Bed was really comfy with nice pillows and nice clean bedding. Shower was great and the shampoo and shower gel provided was lovely. There wasn’t a seat in front of a mirror though so I had to sit in the middle of the room at the full length mirror. There wasn’t a plug socket near the mirror either to blow dry my hair. It was a bit warm overnight and there was a bit of road noise with the window open, but the curtains made the room lovely and dark. Staff were efficient but not notably friendly. Overall a good, reasonably priced overnight stay with all we needed. We would have liked information about car parking prior to coming as the car park we ended up in after driving around had a max 18 hour stay so we had to get up in the morning and go and put more money on the ticket. Thanks
