Had a lovely stay here very close to the railway station and York city centre. We also opted out of having our room cleaned daily and got rewarded with drink vouchers which came in very handy for cocktails up in the roof bar/restaurant!

Perfect stay in York. Great location and comfortable rooms. Air con being an added bonus during the UK heatwave!

So no other reviews mentioned this - but the excellent air conditioning was welcome on a 34C day… the suite (upgraded for 25 pounds as mentioned by some) was truly excellent. With a great shower and a big screen sitting room to watch the football. I would like a stocked minibar - it seems such a faff to call room service for iced water- but a small gripe.

From the second we walked in we was made massively welcome by all, and the best thing was we was able to check in early and get ourselves sorted and ready for our weekend, the staff in the morning as we were going for breakfast was so helpful again and polite

Lovely room and air con was excellent and essential during the heatwave. No issues with anything at all in the hotel during our stay and perfectly located for both the railway station and strolling into city centre

We recently stayed at Malmaison York and overall had a pleasant experience. The room was lovely and the bed was extremely comfortable, making for a good night’s sleep. We were given an upgrade, which was appreciated, although it wasn’t something we particularly needed. One thing to note is that both the rooms and corridors felt quite dark, which may not suit everyone’s taste. The on-site Starbucks was a great addition and very convenient during our stay. The main downside was the price. While the hotel was comfortable and stylish, it felt quite expensive considering there were no extras included. Overall, a good stay, but the value for money could be improved.

Lovely hotel, food was delicious. Was offered an upgrade for a little extra and accepted it. Staff were helpful when room service was late and we were given it free of charge. Would return.
