We stayed in the family room on the basement , although this means sacrificing windows , I think we benefitted from space. We 2 adults and 2 children . Lovely touches such as towels , wash bits and toothbrushes which the children loved. Was absolutely boiling outside but room was perfect we had 3 fans and an air con unit in the room . The lady on the reception was lovely , kind and helpful.. the kids were sad she wasn’t on when we checked out. Will definitely return ! Thank you

Hotel très propre, chambres spacieuses et confortables rénovées et bien équipées / fournies (multiples serviettes et produits de douche, thé, café, frigo). Emplacement proche du métro. Accès autonome hors horaires de jour (pas de gardien 24/24). Quartier correct mais moyen, l'hotel belvedere à 7 min à pieds est mieux situé (mais moins propre). Personnel aidant. Un bémol: fenêtre à simple vitrage, pour les chambres sur rue, très bruyant. Precision: la chambre triple est tres spacieuse avec une grande salle de bain. La chambre individuelle est un lit simple (80 cm) et extrêmement petite - il y a le tout petit lit et à peine la place de se retourner pour entre dans la mini salle de douche. Mais une adresse très correcte pour le prix à Londres.

The room was extremely tiny. No wardrobe or chest of drawers. Because of how tiny it was, it must be hard to clean properly, and it shows. Despite cleaners coming every day, the floor and shelves were utterly dusty and dirty. The bed was very uncomfortable, as were the pillows. However, the hotel is very close to Paddington station and Hyde Park; at least there’s that, but I am very confident this is the first and last time I’ll stay at Marina Hotel.

We were given a room in the basement with a slim “window” to the hall. There was also a narrow staircase downstairs that was difficult to manage with a suitcase (no lift). I felt deceived by Expedia and the hotel as this should have been clearly stated in the search results. I would have made a different decision had I known.

Location was OK, near a lot of late night middle eastern restaurants and shops, if that’s your thing. The room was clean, mattresses and beds were worse than a Motel 6, if you’re familiar with the USA chain. Add the typical European, no air conditioning to the room, and you got yourself a lovely place……right!

On checking in i was given the wrong room number and then asked to change rooms, the room i ended up with was incredibly and uncomfortably hot. I woke up in the morning to find the room covered in hundreds of insects, ants and something else, and also some sort of insect pupa on the bathroom floor. There was no one at reception or any member of staff in the building. I self checked out immediately as i was not willing to sit in a room crawling with critters. Contacted hotels .com who tried to contact the hotel management, they have been unable to do so, so even though they said they felt i should have been compensated or refunded for this experience, there was nothing they could do as the hotel management were not answering their telephone calls. So a very hot uncomfortable night and a horrible wake up with hundreds of un invited guests. Don't even think about staying here. Utter lack of guest care or service, no management available in the morning and no one available to solve a really serious problem with the room. Appalling experience.
