We had Easter dinner during our stay and it was phenomenal. The property is such a lovely, traditional pub and inn. I would stay there again

A most amazing stay very last minute! I booked on the evening of my stay short notice, upon arrival I checked in & was shown to my room … a gracious little room aptly named ‘ The shoe box’ so cute everything I needed as a solo traveler. Perfectly snug. Wonderful staff & w location. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

The room was a good size, comfortable and we were pleased that a dog bed was provided along with dog treats. The shower was easy to manage. There were several vegetarian food options and breakfasts were flexible and included in the overall price of our deal.

Three night stay away without the car for a change. Train station just 10 minutes away and taxi rank outside the hotel, well located. Staff all friendly and food is good. A little tatty in places and missed no plugs beside the bed, no hairdryer but not a massive thing. Totnes is definitely the place to go if you have a dog as everywhere caters for them.

Stayed many times, this time was no exception, excellent stay overall with good room, staff were very good, food good. The building is showing its age and hopefully an overall is not far off. Barny who runs it is a very good manager who made our stay all the better. We will be ba ck once more. Highly recommended.

Certain fixtures with in room need a bit of TLC. Hotel staff are allways attentive and excellent. We allways enjoy our stay at this hotel. A good central location for visiting all local attractions.

Really lovely room with four poster bed and jacuzzi bath. Staff helpful. Only missed five star as no real lactose free meal last evening. Shame as breakfast was great as was the service
