I had a wonderful lunch here, my elderly grandmother was so happy and the staff was very friendly to me. The window table is stunning with prosecco to start. Excellent food, everything is prepared and tasteful, and seasonal. It can accommodate any dietary requirement with ease. It's a nice, enjoyable experience.

This place is very recommended for lunchtime. This is my first time coming here. The atmosphere was so lovely. The menu offers an enormous selection, the food was great, and the staff was outstanding.

Overall, it's on the point, and a stroll across the castle meadows after lunch to the river us was the ideal approach. The castle and museum are also well worth a visit. We rented lunch at the Angel after a day trip from cheltenham in Abergavenny. It truly stands up to its reputation, has a warm greeting, a delicious lunch, friendly service, and is comfortable outside.

I had a wonderful lunch here while visiting the area and was unimpressed. My husband claims it was the finest rib eye steak he had ever eaten and made to perfection! We were able to bring our dog to our table, which we always appreciate, and he was given a bowl of drinking water with ice cubes. It was fantastic to see the entire team wearing the traditional black and white uniform as well as being incredibly friendly. We'll definitely come back to Wales because the meal was so fantastic.
