We stayed at The Gables for 2 nights to attend The Royal Highland Show and it was perfect for our trip. Check in was straight forward, Mary was very accommodating and even offered us an extra early breakfast, however, it wasn’t necessary as breakfast is served from 8am and was very good and more than ample we didn’t even need lunch. It was lovely and quiet which was great after a busy couple of days, we would highly recommend anyone to use this as a base, it’s very easy to get out and about from Bathgate. Thank you Mary we had a very enjoyable stay.

Great place to stay if visiting Edinburgh. House very traditional and clean. The owners were incredibly helpful and kind, always checking to make sure you’re ok. Beds super comfy, immaculate clean bedding, had a great two nights sleep. Really busy road outside but you cannot hear a thing inside once the windows are closed. So, so peaceful. Parking outside the house also was great. We will 100% be returning. A fab restaurant around the corner too. All in all 5* for sure.

My mom and I considered ourselves lucky to get to be hosted by such a considerate host. The house was cozy with lots of thoughtful touches. We definitely say again. Excellent value for the price.

Large, comfortable, clean and quiet room No creaking of floors or stairs. Tasty and well prepared breakfast. Fruit salad and really.tasty yoghurts great way to start the days followed by a tasty vege cooked breakfast. Welcoming and friendly host

The Gables was perfect for a trip to Edinburgh or Livingston area. Host was very helpful re check in times etc and very friendly. Rooms had everything we needed and breakfast was plentiful and fresh. Would definitely come back!

Breakfast was quite large and very good. There was parking on the facility with enough space for the guests. The owner Mary was very kind and helpful. This is an older home in a small town, very nice and cozy.

The Gables is very comfortable and in a great location in Bathgate. Very clean room with Wi-Fi. The Gables is very close to the train station and trains run to Edinburgh frequently. Included is a wonderful breakfast and many thanks for your hospitality.

Lovely B&B in Bathgate. Room 3 had everything I needed for my stay and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Mary was really friendly and helpful. Good wifi and parking on the premises if you need it
