Very convenient location for commute. Close to many prime locations. Kitchenette helped us. New and modern interior. The staff was really helpful.

This is our second time staying at The Gate and we love the location, the kitchenette and the Le Labo products! The kitchenette didn’t have a hopper (cooktop) in the room we stayed this time which was a bummer. So convenient to Aldgate East stop on the Metro. We will be back next time we return to London, which I hope is soon!

This is our second time staying at The Gate and we love the location, the kitchenette and the Le Labo products! The kitchenette didn’t have a hopper (cooktop) in the room we stayed this time which was a bummer. So convenient to Aldgate East stop on the Metro. A very tidy self-contained appartment. Very comfortable and functional. Front desk staff are very helpful. Would be very comfortable for a weekend or a week as the facilities mean you could use it as a central location. Access to London is pretty good

We had 6 people and had two rooms. One was an accessible family apartment, and one was a superior apartment. Both had plenty of space for 3 people each. My teenage sons slept on the pull-out couch and said it was comfortable. The superior apartment had a clothes washer/Dryer and it came in handy when our clothes got a but wet when a sudden rainstorm pooped up and caught us unaware. Both apartments also had a convection/microwave oven. My only problem with the oven is the language seemed to be set to Arabic? and I could not figure out how to change the language setting, I did manage to figure out how to use it still and it worked well for heating up the breakfast items we purchased. Both units had small fridges and glasses, plates, some cooking utensils etc. Everything we could possibly need including pots and pans as well for the cook top. The location was good and about a 4 minute walk to the Algate East underground station which is on several main arteries into the city so it was easy to get around to wherever we wanted to go with 20-30 min ride. We also loved being able to walk up to the Spitalfields market and enjoyed several restaurants on the famous Brick Lane (sometimes called the curry mile) which was all within a 10-15 minute walk. We also walked to the Tower bridge and Tower of London in about 20 minutes. Hotel staff was professional and the rooms were clean we also enjoyed the lounge area with its free coffee, hot chocolates and tea and juice selections.
