Very comfy bed, great pub drinks, nice real ales and cider and atmosphere, room was comfy and warm enough and pub was really local for what I needed. Manager really friendly and accommodating and biscuits in the room a welcome too. Definitely stay there again soon

Can't praise this place and staff enough. Booked 2 rooms for family. Sammy and Staff were welcoming and friendly, just what we needed after a 4 hour car journey. Rooms were clean and tidy and suited us fine. Booked evening meals for the 4 of us, great choice and Boy was it good, fresh hot and 1st class service. Breakfast was equally as good. Will definitely be booking in again very soon. Big thanks to all the Staff

Good food, a fine selection of drinks, a hearty breakfast, strong Wi-Fi signal & an excellent shower. No frills, but comfortable, friendly & efficient.

As a regular business traveller, this location is one of the best value for money locations I have stayed in. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast choice is a good variety. One to return to in the future.

Always a good stay at The Goddard. Food is typical pub grub - but at least it tastes good - the pies in particular are excellent. Monday is Cask Club Monday, so if Ale is your thing, all pints are £2.75 for the night. They also offer 28 different gins for sale....... Rooms are comfortable, free car parking & strong Wi-Fi. A good value (but different) hotel.

All good.... room clean, team was friendly, missed breakfast but thats my fault! nice little pub but no noise at night - guessing room must be sound proofed. All good is the fairest summary.

Great customer service, my bedroom was clean but the door into the bedroom needs changing as there was quite a big gap underneath. There was a constant noise coming from the large extractor fan outside which made it harder to fall asleep on the first night.

It's a really nice pub with a good atmosphere as I arrived on Sat night. The noise from the pub did not travel thru to my room either. Clean white cotton sheets and bath towels, decent tv, lovely powerful shower. The tea and coffee were good quality (Twinnings). The staff were super polite and helpful

Perfectly acceptable although its location is not ideal for weekend travellers who are light sleepers as the night life in nearby Wood Street is very lively. We knew the area so we were aware of the risks. A more generous breakfast selection would have been appreciated, such as including yogurt and fruit salad, but the filter coffee was good.
