A wonderful overnight stay. Lovely friendly staff. Very helpful and kind. The room was beautiful and clean, and the smell....just lush! The food and service is out of this world! Highly recommend. We will be back.

I was a lone lady traveller who received the most wonderful customer care at this hotel. I realise that it is easy to say that everyone was good, but they were. From check in, where my requests were noted and acted on (lovely quiet room with a bath :-) ) to all the meal services. The only reason that I dropped the score down from being perfect was due to the ongoing building works. This in no way effected my stay and was of no inconvenience at all but the hotel was not looking it's absolute best which I am sure it will after Jan 2027. I ate dinner and breakfast on both days of my stay and found the food to be excellent. Service was quick and the quality of products is good. Parking for the hotel is provided by a multi story carpark, right next door which at £5 per 24 hours was excellent value. Members of staff that really went out of their way to make me feel at home were, Andrew, Ellie (breakfast) and Victoria (reception). Thank you to you all. I really enjoyed my stay.

The staff really make this hotel — they’re fantastic! Always attentive, checking that everything is okay and asking if you need anything. The hotel is currently undergoing some improvements, but that didn’t spoil our stay at all. Our room was fantastic, everything was very clean, and we’ll definitely be back. The breakfast was really nice and tasty I would recommend the Welsh Breakfast

From initially walking into the reception I was met by Rebecca on reception. Really professional, lovely friendly welcome and immediately felt comfortable and valued as a guest. The grand hotel was clean well laid out for my long weekend visit. All the staff were cheerful and helpful and very efficient. I spoke with Terry another very professional and friendly member of staff. I cannot fault any part of the weekend. Breakfast was delicious and a great choice. Evening meal again was delicious and a great menu. I sincerely as apologise as I cannot remember the young managers name. But he was amazing, really welcoming, professional and an absolute pleasure to meet and speak with. The three members of staff absolutely made my weekend a pleasure and I really hope to revisit the grand hotel again soon.

My stay was lovely the room needed a bit of tlc but bed was really comfortable and room was cleaned. Staff were very attentive and friendly nothing was too much trouble. This is my second stay in a couple of years and would almost definitely book again. The lift was being refurbished but was notified of this in ample time that I could have cancelled my stay but as this was not a problem for myself to climb the stairs I continued with my booking.

Had a fab stay at The Grand. Rebecca was so helpful during our check-in. The evening meal we had was so tasty and reasonably priced for what we had. Slept well on the comfy bed, two pillows provided as standard. Nice bathroom, it was very clean as was our bedroom. Breakfast was OK, I didn’t have items listed on the menu choice, but it had been a busy morning and I think the kitchen must have run out of items. All the staff were polite and helpful and coped with how busy the place was really well. Would stay here again.

The room was very spacious, everything was exceptional. The food in their restaurant I can really recommend. Extremely friendly personnel, I would certainly stay there again
