Very clean character property with nicely decorated rooms. Very close to Stanstead airport. Just a shame the Thai restaurant was shut at short notice the night I was there as I was looking forward to a meal there. Would definitely stay there again. Excellent value for money as well.

Do NOT believe these poor reviews. It seems to me that there are too many people out there with champagne tastes and cider income. I paid 29 quid for a twin room for me and my son for a weekday night. The room (5) was cosy and clean with nice twin beds and a lovely free standing bath and two sinks. I've paid 100 quid more than that for places which are nowhere near as nice. The pub was lovely with friendly staff and excellent food at reasonable prices. Free WIFI and parking too. A fantastic value for money experience which I HIGHLY recommend to you (unless of course you think that you are entitled to the Ritz for your 29 quid). Book it. You will not regret it. Simple, clean and enjoyable. Well done the Green Man.

Although the building is old the rooms had a modern feel to them. But not to modern, making use of the original feature of the building. Check-in was quick and check out was even easier as all you need to do is hang your room key on a hook. Parking was also good

Lovely decor and very comfortable bed. Radiators were not on during our stay and bathroom was cold. Excellent location for visiting Stansted Airport which was only two miles away.
