The hosts were lovely, attentive and very amenable. We had a lovely room with ensuite facilities overlooking farmland, a comfy bed and all the facilities you could wish for. We were amazed by how quiet the location was which only led to a restful night's sleep. Would recommend.

The two owner were so nice, the room was perfect as was the bathroom. The breakfast was the best Scottish breakfast we had during our trip. Best B&B, would recommend it to anyone going north of Scotland

This was just an overnight after driving up from Dornoch and getting on the ferry to Orkney at Gills Bay the next morning. However Eilean and Graeme greeted us in the parking area and helped us move into our room. Provided us with lots of info on their property and where to eat. Our room was very comfortable and breakfast in the morning had lots of variety and our choices were delicious.

Nous avons passé un excellent moment à The Hawtorns. Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques. Pleins de bons conseils et très serviables. La chambre est grande, très confortable et très bien équipée. Mention spéciale pour le petit déjeuner qui a été excellent. Nous reviendrons très certainement.

The hosts were absolutely wonderful. We had to leave early in the morning and wouldn’t be able to have breakfast and they brought some nice items for us the night before that we could quickly eat. Location was good for our stay and is very close to Castle Mey which we visited.

The hosts were excellent and breakfast was fresh and plentiful. Parking is plentiful. Do get supplies before arriving as there are no shops nearby. Great location, close to John o Groat and access to NC500.

The Hawthornes is a lovely rural B and B near the very northern tip of mainland Scotland. The garden is very attractive. The hosts are very sweet and accommodating. Our room was simple but very functional and quiet. Breakfast was ample, tasty, and made-to-order. The only minus about the inn is that the internet speed in that region is extremely slow, as our host explained to us.

parkeerruimte voor de deur. Hartelijke ontvangst; prima kamer met capsule koffiezetmachine. In het huis ook een gezellige, gezamenlijke zitkamer of lounge met TV. Voor een restaurant in de avond moet je een paar kilometer rijden; maar de eigenaren assisteren bij het vinden van een tafel reservering want er zijn niet veel eetgelegenheden in de buurt. Uitgebreid ontbijt met veel vers fruit
