We were given the night by our youngster. We opted to make the move to a superior room for 80 dollars. Excellent views, large room, and restroom are all positives about the accommodation. The shower head sprayed nearly everywhere, which looks old and tired. The welcoming receptionists were accommodating after we discovered no tea or milk in the room. A nice outbuilding's pool is lovely, but the changing area makes it look more like a community pool than a rated hotel. When we made our reservation, they were on hand to reserve a table, so we were eager to have a delicious dinner. Burgers were among the few options, and the chef should note that you burn the bun and, by that I mean incinerate it, throw it in the trash and do not serve it to a customer you will pay 22. Positive response from the gracious lady at the front desk, who waived our modest drinks charge. Will not return.

Overall a nice premise but disappointing. Has the potential to improve. I like the wonderful setting and the beautiful grounds. I will go back here and will be back again.

ickworth motel is my first stop, but it won't be my last. We merely went for coffee and cake to make non-residents feel very welcome. The national trust cafe next door had a long line. Being treated royally in the hotel drawing room was a much more enjoyable experience. The motel is family-oriented and has a relaxed ambiance. All the staff members we spoke with were happy and helpful. We met Beverly, the hotel manager, who went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The adjacent ickworth house is a significant national trust property. Worth visiting. A wonderful collection of paintings, including titian, hogarth, and gainsborough. The estate is big, with lots of walking opportunities. Bikes can be hired. A great day out just a stone's throw from cambridge.

They served me vegetable sausages, fried eggs and sauce that was hard because they cooked them too and left soggy sauce.
