Nice comfy room, excellent breakfast, friendly owner's. Plenty of parking nearby (Free between certain hours). Excellent Italian restaurant, traditional fish and chip shop and another pub (that serves food on the evening) within a five minute walk.

Perfect location, friendly staff and rooms very clean. Breakfasts were amazing and set you up for a good days walking in the peaks. Not a single negative comment to make, I’d recommend no problem.

Property was fine, the staff were really good and my room was clean. Breakfast was first class. Be aware that you have to park your car in the local car park, which is chargeable.

Comfortable room, clean and good shower though it was cold first thing in the morning as the heating didn’t start early enough. Great breakfast

Great guest house, nice people who run it and a cracking view to wake up to in the morning. The breakfast was welcome and filling after the long walk the day before. Will stay again if I'm in the area.

Stayed here for 3 nights recently. It's a family owned business, with a good selection of local real ales. Everyone very friendly, cooked breakfast started each day on the right footing. Dog friendy - and he appreciated his own sausage each morning. Great location for walking - Kinder Scout and Derwent Water a short drive or Buxton, Bakewell or Matlock - perfect break
