We stopped here on our way home from the airport for dinner. The food was really good traditional pub food, great service, and a nice pub atmosphere. I would definitely stop there again.

I stayed in an old room above the pub. The room was clean and comfortable if a bit tired but I don't mind it as it adds to the character. Can't comment on the new rooms beside the main building. The room does look out over the front of the pub, meaning the busy a 120 is close by. There is some traffic noise but didn't disturb my sleep. The show produced a good supply of hot water. The breakfast was cooked to order and was decent. Overall a decent venue for an overnight stay.

For a nice visit. Stayed here for two nights for work. The double superior room was very spacious and had room for work, and the bathroom was also large, despite its unfortunate lack of high-quality tile work. The bed and pillows were really comfortable and very quiet outside the bar. The rear door that leads to the parking lot also leads to the smoking area, which was a little noisy one night because my room was in the back. The breakfast was excellent and if I hadn't had early starts I may have made even more. The evening restaurant menu is really nice, but the cooking quality was a little variable, with very overcooked sea bass, and the accompanying seafood risotto was excellent and well cooked. My favorite pudding is creme brulee, which tasted good but wasn't ready. Its good to see a nice local hotel really trying to do things well but it needs to be a little tighter to make it even better.

I would recommend this place and will stay here again. This hotel has a great location with a nice beer garden. Beautiful rooms, very well equipped. Great breakfast, friendly staff, great place with an excellent beer garden. I regret it only booked 1 night but it was a great place to go to a nearby wedding.
