This location is not worth the drive. Our experience while having dinner here at this hotel was different, however, the breakfast here was excellent, the atmosphere was nice and relaxing, as well as the dinner. And then, the vibes were also different from the hotel view. After that, the bathroom was great for disabled people. Besides that, the bedroom and bathroom seemed to lack character and luxury as the function was just the focus.

Booked a one-night stay with dinner bed and breakfast on a quiet Sunday night. The room is in a new annexe and is very comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were taken in the old part of the building and were excellent and very well served by the dedicated husband and wife team who have been there for years. Own produce and eggs from their own market garden. Nice wine list too.

Wonderful stay, perfect for a 2 night dinner. Great hotel, fantastic accommodation for 2 persons on our anniversary. The beds were huge and extremely comfy. The room was very clean, the condition is very well presented and played out, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful whenever we need something!

What a find! The pheasant is a really nice pub with rooms, but the pub is five star as is the pub. We had the most enjoyable stay and a great nights sleep in the Thomas Gainsborough family suite. Breakfast was amazing, really the best full english plate I've had in a very long time! The owners are amazing and incredibly helpful, and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Whatever your reason for visiting this area of the woods, the pheasant is the place to stay. We will undoubtedly return!.

We stayed at the pheasant as a little grown-up treat while the teens were at home after attending the local food and drink show. The charming hostess met us and offered us a free glass of prosecco. The turner room was then shown to us by the hostess, who was spacious, well-furnished, and pleasant despite the hot summer weather. The view from the window was wonderful, with only open fields in sight, and we made sure we followed in the direction of the small pub garden so we enjoyed the view even more as we had our predinner beverages. If you are dining at the pheasant, make sure you see the specials board as it complements the rather limited main menu. My husband had the sardines from the specials board as his starter and I had the duck terrine. After a relaxing nights sleep, we snoozed into the full english breakfast, which was made with the finest quality bacon and sausages with a choice of fried, scrambled, or poached eggs. A small portion of fried potatoes was a welcomed addition to the more conventional mushrooms and tomato. This time, the coffee was much more flavorful, which indicates that the coffee we had the night before had not been bred properly. We both agreed that it was one of the nices
