An ideal location near to the top of Steep Hill, close to many of Lincolns tourist attractions. An easy walk from the train station

A really great stay. Have stayed in lots of places around the Castle and this tops it. Beautiful view from my window. Lovely bed and bedding. Great breakfast.

Parking was not possible as the vehicle was too big, but there was free road side parking. Good pubs and restaurants near by.

The room was great with a small fridge, tea and coffee, modern shower room and a really comfy bed. Breakfast was outstanding. Would definitely recommend and rebook if we return.

Direction by the hosts was spot on! Upon arrival we were a little early but as our room was ready they let us check in straight away. Staff were all super friendly and even offered to bring our bags in. Full guide or room was given. The room was beautiful and facilities were excellent including a mini fridge, milk (and oat milk for hubby), bottled water, handmade herbal tea selection, even umbrellas in the wardrobe incase it was wet! Breakfast was fabulous and really tasty, so much choice and all locally sourced products. Would definitely stay again if we revisit Lincoln 😊😊

Lovely little hotel. Everything in the room was spotless and well equipped. Parking was interesting but you are warned about that beforehand.

Fantastic hotel, with a fantastic host! Perfectly placed - with everything you need, and more. We couldn’t make the breakfast time due to early plans - food was brought to the room.

A lovely hotel and we had a great stay there. Nice, cosy room and very close to the main sights( cathedral and castle) Parking was difficult (on a steep hill) but the owner or his staff were always on hand to guide guests. Highlight was the breakfast, freshly cooked and plentiful, probably my favourite hotel breakfast ever. Lovely stay and highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay everyone was very helpful and nice. The room was beautiful, clean, and tidy. They gave us all sorts of handy tips about town which we really enjoyed. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Spent 8 nights in England. Poplars was my fave of the 5 places we stayed. That was due to staff. Though my train left before (free) breakfast, they left food for us the night before and provided fresh coffee in the morning. Meant a lot to us. Close to all points of interest but a bit of walk from train station. Cheap uber rides available. Great pick to be near Lincoln Castle.
