Room was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They have a decent bar and food available every day. The hotel is also only about 15-20 minutes walk to the centre of Edinburgh and train station.

Es war ein grossartiger Aufenthalt im Royal Scot Club. Das Badezimmer ist frisch renoviert und das Zimmer in bester Ordnung und sehr ruhig gelegen. Der Empfang freundlich und zügig gut organisiert. Das schönste war, dass wir an einem Abend, als ein offizieller Clubabend war, wo ein Mitglied aus dem Militär nach 25 Jahren Dienstzeit verabschiedet wurde, so freundlich integriert wurden. Wir standen zwischen Offizieren in den schönsten Uniformen und militärischen Kilts und ihren Frauen in Abendkleidern und wurden so freundlich willkommen geheissen und alle unsere neugierigen Fragen wurden beantwortet. Es war mega sympatisch. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Aus Diskretionsgründen veröffentliche ich keine Fotos von der Party.

Clean, quiet, comfortable room. Friendly and very helpful staff. Great breakfast. Close enough to tram, restaurants ans shopping, but still far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. First time in Scotland and this was the perfect place to stay! Highly recommend!

Great location, 20 minute walk to Edinburgh Castle, 25 minute walk to Holyrood Palace, 15 minute walk to Royal Botanic Garden. Excellent breakfast, no need for lunch. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay. We didn't expect a huge room, given that it was in Edinburgh, so we thought it was a great space considering. Was very clean and quiet. The front desk host was very helpful, and we appreciated being able to leave our bags on the day of checkout as we explored the city. It's hard to find a family space for 4, so this worked great. Great location, great place, wished we had stayed longer.

The property was so cool and had great history! The room was very clean and comfortable. The best towels ever and wonderful shower. The club has access to the private park across the street so that was a bonus to relax there after long days of walking!

The room was quiet, clean, spacious and well appointed. The bathroom was large, impeccably clean, with a separate tub and shower and enormous, warm bath towels. There was a foyer with a door that prevented any noise from the hall getting through to the room. The breakfast and breakfast service was first rate. The front desk was friendly and very helpful.

My wife visited our daughter who is studying abroad in Edinburgh. I booked the Queen room with additional breakfast option. My wife reported that the staff was superb, the breakfast and accommodation was excellent. It was such a fantastic experience that I felt a bit of envy that I was unable to make the trip. Beautiful room, excellent bed and fantastic water pressure made it easy to get over the jet lag quickly. The staff was wonderful and when my college student joined her mom she raved about the food. Thank you for taking such care of my ladies.

This is an old-fashioned but charming place to stay. It is well located for a quick walk to the sights, and close to bus stops. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel has a comfortable bar. Our room was spotless and spacious (room 8), with a great view to the Firth of Forth. The bed was comfortable and the linens were of excellent quality. We definitely recommend this accommodation.

Well located just short walk from Waverley Station, and close to many restaurants and the shops of Princes Street. A quiet , cosy room, excellent dinner and breakfast, and a comfortable bar with lounge area. Old-fashioned in a very good way.

This is a wonderful place, a bit old fashioned but harks back to the older age of comfort and quality. The room was comfortable, spacious and meticulous prepared. The staff were impeccable and the location is just a couple blocks back from Princess Street with good local restaurants, bars, shopping and sightseeing not far away. Recommended.
