Beautiful location. Room was comfy and cozy. The bathtub was amazing after a day out exploring. The room we had had windows looking at the sky / and a beautiful view over the water. It was quiet and lovely. The restaurant was fairly priced and delicious. The included breakfast was delicious (and hot) and plentiful. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I was sad to leave it felt like home after just a couple of nights. There was lots of parking (free)

The Sands Hotel is a lovely small hotel in a tranquil island within the Orkneys. There is absolutely no noise in any of the rooms, they are equipped with WiFi and everything you need. The restaurant serves excellent-quality food with locally sourced ingredients. The staff are first rate, every single one of them. They helped us out with everything we needed. Very prompt and professional service. Best Hotel in the Orkneys, bar none!

Our brief stay at the Sands Hotel was just what we were looking for in that part of Orkney. We wanted to see Skapa Flow, the Italian Chapel, and we discovered a fascinating private museum with fossil collection. The staff were helpful and welcoming and the room comfortable.

This property is exceptionally clean! The restaurant staff were friendly, outgoing and accommodating to a food allergy. This hotel is convenient for morning ferry departures from St. Margaret's Hope.

Everything at this hotel was just lovely- staff, ocean views, food. The room was simple but nicely updated and maintained. This hotel was a highlight of our trip. The restaurant is also delicious and we loved breakfast.

We were 13 people for dinner from 5 to 70 years old. All extra requests were met with a smile and panache by very helpful and skilled staff, great food and great local beers, we had a great night out, thank you Sands team

Overall, a wonderful experience!. The restaurant was excellent. The service was warm and welcoming and the food was excellent. We all had English hand dived scallops for our main course, which were perfectly cooked with the mixed vegetables. There was a tasty wine menu, and we chose a bottle of italian primitive that went well with the meal.

I enjoyed the stay, the hotel has good cleanliness and cleanliness, and the food is good and well-kept. And then, the peace and quiet place has the great power showers! Also, the hospitality tray in the room was good and it also has squash sticks.
