Just returned from the Water front Hotel . We found the hotel to have everything that we needed and the view from our room was absolutely stunning . The bedroom was of a good size , but the on suite was quite small , however taking into consideration the age of the building , the owners had made the bathroom facility’s the best that they could , and it definitely worked for us . During our stay we had a lovely meal at the sister hotel , the Harbour House, which was excellent value for money and the food was tasty and very good quality. The Breakfast in the hotel was again excellent and the choice that was offered was amazing !!. All the staff were a credit to the hotel and restaurant, and all went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The only gripe we had was that the mattress needed a protector on it , as in places the mattress was a little soiled . Would we go back again ,that answer would be a big yes . Thank you so much for our lovely stay .

Although the "king size double" was in fact "bijou", the room was fresh and adequately appointed. AND was warm when we arrived A big PLUS! The "ensuite" needed a few contortionist moves to negotiate, but call it characture! Evening meal bit slow in coming but certainly okay A good selection Not the usual variations on a burger only that seems to be SO common these day, Breakfast very good value. All in all pleasant stay Would go again.

The view from room 1 was amazing. We had dinner there twice and 3 breakfasts and every meal was lovely. All the staff were amazing but the staff member on last night and night before (Sunday and Monday) was outstanding. Very attentive and really nice.

Staff were brilliant, so welcoming on arrival and throughout our stay, can't thank them enough. For the price of the room on our budget was absolutely spot on. TV, small ensuite and very warm and cosy. The bed was very comfy. Room was very clean with toiletries provided and everything we needed for our overnight stay on the way to ferry at Cairnryan. In fact we highly recommend this hotel for its convenience to the ferry port and value for money, you won't beat it on price. The food was lovely, extremely generous portions for our evening meal. My husband had steak, very thick and perfectly cooked and I had small fish, which was quite big so I recommend. Breakfast in the morning, was everything we needed, cereal, toast, tea, coffee, juice, full english or create your own and many other choices - all included in the price of your stay. This was our first time in Portpatrick (which is a lovely harbour town) and we will definitely be returning to stay at The Waterfront Hotel & Bistro. Definitely highly recommend for good value, great service and lovely food in a delightful place.

The hotel is very comfortable with friendly staff (a big thank you to Graham for looking after us this morning). The location is great for exploring Portpatrick and the surrounding area. Food in the evening was excellent and we really enjoyed our stay.

The welcome and service at reception on arrival were excellent. Our room was clean and tidy with a very comfortable bed. We could have done with a chair as there was only a single stool under the dressing table. The bathroom was very compact ( I am 6'4" ) but was clean and had everything required. Excellent breakfast and our stay was superb value. The staff could not have done more to be as helpful as possible to us during our stay.
