This has come too late because I have repeatedly visited this establishment over the past two years. First off, the management waitress, chefs, and bartenders are all competent, courteous, and friendly, and they welcome you on every trip, whether it's for a quick drink or a dinner. The setting has a great deal to offer. The cuisine is fantastic now. I always had a good meal in the evenings, and I have to say that this place is wonderful, with deep, well-packed cakes, perfectly cooked steaks, and desserts. I decided to try their sunday roast today because I had heard about them in the area. There is a wonderful, nicely cooked beef choice of seven vegetables and two types of potatoes once more. I would especially like to thank you to everyone, and I'm fortunate that I live nearby.

This is not a place for you if all you want is a place to rest your head, but it has a couple of coops across the road and the staff are excellent. It's reasonable for the location, has a couple of coops across the road, and the staff is fantastic. The breakfast was good, and the evening meal was ok, but the chef was more than accommodating. My mother and I were sharing a room with a double bed, and on first inspection it looked nice and clean. As we turned closer, we started to notice things we weren't pleased with. The drawers were full of dust, the wardrobe door was loose and the sides of the bed were stained. The carpet was rather grime and the mattress, despite being laundered, was also stained by what appeared to be mildew and something else. The bathroom was, sadly, something else altogether. I understand dust, or the occasional misplaced marks, etc., but I would have preferred the information book to be put down now. I understand that the dust, or the odd misplaced mark, or cobwebs, is not lightly used. Yes, there was a thick spot of dirt, and it's dirt that scrapes off with a little encouragement from a nail, leaving the paint beneath going down the railing. The floors in the restroom were disgusting.

The best place to stay and the service was great, and we got the best price from it. And then the breakfast was delicious.

Like the title says, this hotel is everything anyone could wish for while looking for a quality stay in a truly English-style hotel. We stayed in room 6 at the back of the hotel. The room was small but perfectly comfortable for two people. It had a low ceiling and low door frames. The floor was uneven. The bathroom was spot on. The hotel oozes history. We ate dinner in the restaurant and it was lovely. Well cooked food that was pleasing to the eye. Excellent value as well. We had breakfast twice during our two night stay. The full english breakfast was very good! Our waitress was lovely and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for any staff member. Emma, the owner, works hard to ensure that every client is treated like a vip. Her staff are also a credit to her.

Thank you to Emma and the staff for a fantastic stay. We had a pleasant visit and welcomed us by luke upon arrival, who was incredibly helpful and made us feel at home. We had drinks in the bar while watching Saturday afternoon football, were made to feel very welcome, and the whole place had a friendly, happy atmosphere. Our apartment was clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was generous and excellent. After reading favorable reviews, we chose to remain here, and it deserved to continue to have a good name. It was a ten-minute drive away and well worth the taxi ride there for our gin tasting experience that we had reserved.
