Food was excellent but expect to wait in the evening as the restaurant gets quite busy with golfers as well as residents but worth waiting for.

The location was great, and tranquil/ quiet, yet easy to get to Exeter and Exmouth. Lovely hotel seemed top quality. We stayed in a 4 bedroom lodge which was great. Gym was top quality, and swimming etc. housekeeping staff really nice and friendly. Overall it was a great stay, want to stay again soon

We stayed in one of the Lodges. Very clean and well equipped. Plenty of tea and coffee supplies (decent quality not cheap), a great supply of Borders biscuits, and cleaning equipment including tablets for the dishwasher. Only problem was one of the bathrooms didn’t have a lock on the door. Our booking stated check out is 11:00 however the checkout for lodges is 10:00 with no opportunity to request a late checkout. We took a fan with us as wasn’t sure how hot the lodge would be but it was actually very cool once the windows were open. Each room also had fans but we didn’t actually need these in the end despite it being very hot outside. Staff were very polite and friendly. We ate in the bar and couldn’t fault the food. It can get quite noisy if there are big crowds, so if you want a quiet meal I would avoid the bar. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely experience from start to finish. Easy check in, parking right by the lodge we'd booked and very peaceful and quiet. No air con in the lodge but we'd taken our own fan, only to find several already there. Lovely seating area outside and whilst we didn't use the self catering facilities everything was there had we needed to. Full size bath next to one of the doubles, and a separate shower room meant plenty of facilities for the six of us, with a twin room spare. We'd booked to use the lodge on a night we were attending an event at Powderham Castle as a group and it was ideal.

We stayed in a twin room which had a balcony and a lovely view over the golf course. The room was clean, and we enjoyed making use of the gym, swimming pool and spa facilities.

Fabulous place to stay. The two evening meals that I ate were wonderful and served by very friendly staff. I wish could have stayed longer than two days.
