My husband and I, along with another couple, stayed in the Summit Suite for a week and it was wonderful. Not only were we close to the park entrance, but our suite was ideal in the heart of the wildlife we sat on the porch and watched the animals in the early morning and afternoon. To top it off, there was an employee room right next to ours and this young woman Susan was the best hotel employee we had ever encountered in our extensive travels. Not only did she offer to carry our bags into the car, but she was also a total delight! Any employer should be very pleased to have her as an employee. She made sure that whatever we needed was available. We were amazed when we discovered that she was actually taking care of us on her days off and that she was relatively new to this establishment. Kind, caring, hilarious, knowledgeable, and constantly willing to go above and beyond. She is a keeper!.

We booked this hotel because it seemed to be in a good location and interesting place to stay, and it delivered on both counts. It is on the main road to the east of afford and perfect for visiting rainier rp. The parlor was a nice place for the evening and it was also nice to be able to sit by the pond and walk around the grounds and the small trail. It was very authentic to it's time and place, with some interesting photographs from its past on display. Special praise from the staff who was very friendly and helpful he describes himself as a mountain man but I'd say he's very a mountain man. It would be nice if the restaurant could reopen in the future.

The main lodge was decorated and felt very comfortable, and the location of the lodge is spectacular. A perfect place to relax and enjoy nature on a weekend.

Thank you for a wonderful holiday holiday, the host was fantastic in the summer and you won't regret staying here, it's a 10 out of 10, a beautiful crystal-clear pond outback, and some trails to follow through the woods, hiked about a 12 mile down to the river, it was incredible.
