My overall experience was very good. I arrived on Sunday evening and knew there would not be food service. There was a coffee machine available and free snacks in the room. Breakfast the next morning was included and delicious. Staff was very nice, room amenities very good (including robes). Free parking. I did not use other amenities - fitness room, library, billiards room - so can’t comment. Good value in SLC, if you like the old world private club vibe, which I do.

Fantastic stay at a fantastic property. Loved the history. Only criticism would be if the desk clerk would have told us where to park instead of saying google it. Or if they offered Valet service. Glad we stayed there, we will likely be back.

Where do I even begin? From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was unmatched. JW and Edward made us feel immediately welcome, and Jim brought a wonderful, rustic charm to the experience—complete with Aqua Velva and classic, old-school amenities. Combined with the stunning turn-of-the-century decor, five-star dining, an incredibly comfortable room, and flawless room service, our stay was nothing short of perfect.

The location was perfect for me but the staff exceeded expectations in every way-from the helpfulness of the front desk staff to the bartender/wait staff. Alta Club is truly an amazing option.

Property was clean, safe with excellent customer service. Easy walk to Capitol State building and Temple square, shopping and eating. There is a dress code of business casual to eat in dining room which is not listed on Expedia site. Parking is safe. Could have used better sleeping pillows.

Nice location near the capital in the middle of town. Near the train stop as well. Neat historic building/decor/pictures. Remember to bring business casual to enjoy the restaurant.
