Excellent place to stay and we had to reserve this at the very last minute after our reservation for that night was cancelled due to some plumbing issues at the vacation house. Would definitely stay here again. We stayed in the deluxe studio. It was a two bedroom 2 bath newly remodelled and it was pretty hot when we got in there but within an hour after having the air-conditioners on it was cooled off. Everything was pretty clean. The only downside was that the beds were queen size not king size. It’s definitely off the beaten path out in the country up in the hills.

I need to travel to grass Valley for two months for my nursing program. I found this hotel and decided to book it based on the price and was not expecting much because of the price. I was pleasantly surprised! The unit is very big. When you first walk in, you have a bathroom area to the left and then a fridge and microwave on the right and then you walk down a few stairs into the actual room which is a very large space. It doesn’t come with a lot of extras, but it was definitely worth the price and the surrounding area is quiet and pretty. I liked it so much that I booked it out every week for my clinical rotation that I am there.

I no complaints about the spot. I would stay here again, got snowed in so was last minute stop. Has hot running water, also has a heater/AC inside.

Clean room, but outdated, it's clean, but looks very very old inside. Needs work.

Only stayed one night. Room was clean, air conditioner worked well, and I was greeted by a beautiful cat when I checked in. Friendly and they let us check in early. I liked the idea of a deck with chairs, but they need to clear up the view. Only downfall, there was a small view of the lake, but there was a living room lounge chair and poop trucks as part of the view from the porch. Room 4

Room was good. Had a beautiful view of a lake with deer and ducks around in the mornings. Bathroom was was very small and tight. Overall a great place to stay.

This is a very dated property, and the property's location down winding side roads was hard to find and not very close to Grass Valley/ Nevada City. The facility dates back to the 1960's, and it shows its age and some neglect. Little has been done to maintain or update it. All that said, the staff was nice, and they do offer one of the few opportunities for short term accommodations at a reasonable price. For that reason, it is adequate for a short stay for the budget conscious if you're willing to put up with the limited services and inconvenient location. I feel the Inn is best for guests who are already familiar with the Alta Sierra area.

This property is very tranquil setting. When traveling, relaxation is very important to me. This venue provides just that.

Overall our stay was good and comfortable. The towel and overall room can be more cleaner. The bed and sheets were very clean.

Charming area and quaint room. The bed was too hard or a hotel room and the heater was too loud but other than that it's a sweet little place to stay all right
