We loved our two bedroom stay! Our view of the ocean was lovely and we were very comfortable. Our room was clean and had what we needed. It is a bit dated but not unreasonably so and we felt it was a great value. The pools were heated and never overcrowded. The beach is lovely to look at but wasn't really swimmable due to rocks and there was a strong southern swell. There are plenty of other nearby beaches though. The grocery store and a few restaurants are within easy walking distance. The staff was great, check in and our was a breeze, we even had a wonderful grounds person who went out of his way Thursday morning to discuss the outrigger on the property and the history of outrigger on the islands. One thing, make sure your balcony doors are closed correctly or the AC will not come on and the room will get very hot. It will say balcony in the thermostat if not closed correctly.

We arrived in Maui in the early afternoon from our CA flight. We came directly to the hotel to check in, but did not expect our room to be ready yet. Not only was it ready, but we were upgraded to a studio apt. on the 8th floor with an ocean view! We were greeted warmly by the front desk where we also received a box of chocolate covered macadamia nuts and a 20% discount for meals in the restaurant near the beach. We will definitely be back to the Aston Kaanapali Shores when we return to Maui.

We had a great stay. Staff friendly, restaurant/lounge affordable and yummy. The only thing that would have been nice would be to have a broom/dustpan in room as you don’t get daily housekeeping.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The service was excellent from start to finish, with staff always attentive and eager to help. Everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly, which made the experience even more enjoyable. One of the highlights was the breathtaking oceanfront view—it was absolutely magnificent and made my stay truly memorable. Waking up to such a beautiful scene each day was a real treat. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel for its outstanding service, warm hospitality, and stunning location.

Great view from the top floor out to the ocean sunsets were beautiful. Pool was great for adults and kids. The L&L Hawaiian BBQ across the street was amazing best food and prices in my opinion. Would definitely come again.
