The hotel itself is a little worn. However, the staff is excellent! From the bartenders to the various front desk staff. Everyone was laid back but very helpful and gracious. This hotel punches above its weight. Thank you.

Ive heard that the hotel is about to acquire this property. Im hoping theyll keep it charming and lovely. Its a musthave. The personnel are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area and places to visit. My only complaint is that i have to wait for someone to answer the front desk phone. You cant even hear the other guests in the rooms nearby or the traffic outside because the structure is so well built! The beds were really cozy. I loved that queensize beds could be found. Easy to operate, the air conditioning worked perfectly and kept the room cool.

The hotel is in a good location, especially if you plan to use public transportation. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Not fancy but good value for money.

Overall, a fantastic stay. Excellent personnel given the location. The only drawback is that there are no dropoffs in front of the hotel due to the cable car tracks.

I will most certainly return. Union square is directly next to the b&bs. All of the stores, bars, and restaurants are within walking distance of this establishment. It boasts a charming entrance and consists of stocked bar. The personnel were amiable, while the rooms are adorable.

I gave this hotel a 3star rating simply because of the room and its condition. The room was clean and reasonably stocked. I didnt appreciate that there was no microwave. Ac did not work at all. Someone came when we asked and didn't speak idnt know what he said was wrong or wasnt. There were exposed wires and extension cords everywhere. Our kids are older but it wouldnt be ok for small children. We couldnt open the fridge without literally tipping it over. It seemed to be sticking. Plantation shutters were broken. Despite all of that, the location is literally ten minutes walk from union square and china town, and the cable car stops are right in front of our door. Service was beyond amazing. Im hoping ive known the names of those amazing men and women who served us. Thank you! You made our stay undoubtedly much better. Bartender and breakfast guy who called everyone sweetheart were all friendly and very welcoming.

The location is very central to many things. Right in union square. The room was missing some things like an iron and hair dryer and seemed like it could use some updating. Otherwise it seemed clean, quiet, and the staff was nice.

Very good stay. Ive read the reviews. My room faces Powell street, with trolley cars and emergency services etc below, but there is no noise at all if the window is closed. The room is small, yet it is modern, stylish, thoughtfully furnished, and the bed is excellent. Everything works well, including the huge tv. Excellent service is provided by the staff. A fantastic chef who knows how to prepare a steak and put together an intriguing menu is available at the restaurant. Additionally, the eatery is very modern but also laid back, offering excellent service. Great location for union square, shopping, as well as the classic downtown feel of downtown San francisco. And, to correct the application listing here, theres i have spotted he has gotten surprisingly good value for money. If you want, choose sterile cookie cutter hotel, however, for character that meets todays standards, this is advisable.

The hotel exceeded my expectations, it is conveniently located and allows you to explore any location you wish to visit. The room was tidy and cozy. It offers basic services as well as perhaps a little more. Alejandro and Jeremy, who we thank, were always courteous, respectful, and kind, as were the employees. They also gave us recommendations for restaurants and places to go. Many thanks for everything. El hotel met my hopes, was conveniently situated and easily accessible. La habitación was comfortable and clean. Te ofrece los basic servicios and quiza un poco mas. En cuanto al personal, siempre, i am very friendly, responsive, or educated, especially alejadra and his john, because they are so attentive. We also recommend hotels for visitors and visitors. Much obliged for todo.

The location is a major plus the reception staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms can definitely be improved and it didnt feel like i was in opulence 4 stars. Being centrally located, getting here from the airport is easy with cab. Other tourist attractions such as the golden gate bridge, lombard street, Pier 39, Ghirardelli square, and the cable car ride are easy by taxi and not timetaking. I did see dozens of homeless people around the place but ive realized this isnt necessarily ok just for this hotel (I am u.S. Tourist from outside the us). The room was spacious and had all the basic amenities. The bed was comfortable and clean washroom. Some of my colleagues had problems with the fan and air conditioning, so he didn't try them at all. Carpet was sticky in some places in the room. Gym was small but had enough equipment and weights.

This is the place to stay if youre searching for a place! Ive spent weeks looking for the best hotel, and im so happy we found it. First of all, it was directly across the street from union station, where you could find so much on foot. The personnel were outstanding! Literally the greatest customer service ive ever experienced at any hotel i have stayed at. They were incredibly helpful and kind. We spent four days there with everyone in attendance! The hotel is small but stunning as well! It has the appearance of remodeled hotel while still having the charm of an old one. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully prepared. Everything was spotless, including the food! Although the room was tinier, ill love it because the bed was so comfy, which was all that mattered to us. Other hotels had guests complaining about noise, but it wasnt too noisy, so yelling was great! A decent size was available in the bathroom. Although it seemed sluggish before our trip, the shower was adequate, even though he had read that before going so far, everything seemed to be fine. Here, we felt quite at ease. Like we were at home. Any time we visit nanjax again, well stay here! Many thanks to the staff for an amazing stay!.

This hotel is a good solid choice for anyone who wants to stay downtown in the heart of san francisco without breaking the bank. The exterior of the hotel looks average, but the interior looks great! The rooms were clean, however, i still recommend cleaning and sanitarying it yourself.

I would return to this hotel. Id stay at the bless if you need a place to stay in san francisco, with utmost convenience and friendly service. The welcoming desk staff is very accommodating and helpful. My location is ideal, i was able to get to everything ive needed by cable car or train, and stayed safe in all the nearby areas even late at night.
