We had a fantastic weekend at Harper Ferry. This place has a Bavarian atmosphere and is a bit unusual. I had dinner here over 25 years ago, but I hadn't stayed an overnight. The menu is different and has a Mediterranean twist, and it's delicious. Get the cheese board, it's a little different and amazing! All menu items are available at various restaurants and are reasonably priced, each with a different decor. The staff at the resort was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Their craft beers are excellent and diverse. The only thing I found with the lodging was that the carpet needs to be changed to a new carpet or a hard surface because it is showing its age. Vinyl material pulls across the window covering and billows out while the ac under it is turned on. A blind of some sort would be better. The accommodations were nice and spotless. While our room practically didn't have wifi, it was strong at the manor house 50 yards away. The grounds are lovely, the pool is lovely, there are tennis courts, bocce, and outdoor ping pong. We talked about returning and spending a little more time, although it's over three hours from my home. Shepherstown, Bow, is the greatest small town in the entire nation.

This accommodation is really good, this time a pool is still very popular, with the exception of the crab cake sandwich and the signature burger. Although a weekend, the pool is quite crowded. In addition to being gorgeous, the restaurant's bartender who serves at the pool is also extremely talented. The room is complete, including the stain on the carpet and broken tile. On our way back, we had to replace one of the two rooms that were in a box that had broken tiles, and the bathtub was broken open on the side. The bartenders timeliness was very unhelpful, but the drinks were okay. The water-side rooms have breathtaking views, especially in the riverside rooms. The bathtub wasn't tidy.

I called the inn a few weeks ago to get information about accommodations for my husband, my two teenage sons, and myself. The staff suggested a three-room suite with a king-sized bed and two queen-size pull-out beds. I booked it because it sounded right, at $425 per night. When we arrived, we were informed our room was in the Premise building. We toured our building to discover that the room was underground. When we got into the room, there was no queen-size pullout as we approached the front desk, who informed us that the pullouts were twin-sized and they assigned a maintenance person to assist. Two small chairs were laid down flat with an ottoman being moved up, and my teens had to sleep on both small chairs with their knees pushed up see blue chairs pictured. The comforter on the king bed had blood stains as seen in the picture, as well as bloody spiderwebs and live spiders scattered throughout the rooms, which is likely why we also killed the four thousand ledgers around the room. We were frustrated by our questions. They did send the same maintenance officer with a hand towel to wipe down the cobwebs and spiders, but it was likely that it was because the bottom outlet largely worked. The second room with the chairs had just one dim lamp, and it was really dark. One heating
