I had a good experience here and hope to come back again. I have a hidden gem here. The room is cute and in the tradition of Florida. It has a beautiful view of Lake Heron and Macking Island. And then, the chef is amazing. After that, the whitefish dip is great enough for 34 people, the bread they served with that is enough.

This summer, I had visited the resort twice. I first discovered it because I was planning a girls trip, and it was inexpensive for the services. It was on the lake with a private beach, had an indoor pool, a hot tub, and a bar the first time I saw it. I brought my family there because I had such a great time. The front desk staff was wonderful and hospitable. If you had any concerns, the cleaning and maintenance staff was helpful and accessible. The bar restaurant served amazing drinks and really good food. This place is, in fact, the cleanest location outside of Las Vegas. I frequently see maintenance personnel cleaning the entrances and hallways. Theres beach volleyball and ago, and they always light a fire in the fire ring. Just tell the front desk to call them to arrange for you to use the shuttle service to Sheppard Ferry. You will be picked up in five minutes. Nearly every room has a balcony overlooking the lake. Its fantastic. To be honest, I couldn't have asked for a nicer setting! I wanted to say it, but it is so reasonably priced, I'm afraid word will spread, and they'll raise prices, but whatever. They deserve it!.

The location is the best thing about this place. This is an old resort that has been cared for but many stairs, some of them are impossible. There are rocks on the beachfront, and it is hard to walk on them with bare feet. Breakfast was pretty low average.

For the most part, it was a good hotel and clean. The restaurant closed two of the four days we were there. The lake and island are both seen from this beautiful balcony. Breakfast was not bad as long as you liked omelets with sausage, eggs, and cheese. Waffles were also served. The young man who checked us in didn't know much about the area, so he was unhelpful in a few of the rough spots.
