I have stayed here several times. I love the old-fashioned feel. If I could give the room an extra-amazing rating for cleanliness. It has the feel of a family business that people take pride in & go several steps beyond--I'm not kidding, don't ask me why I noticed, but even the pipes under the sink were dust-free! It is on a main road that is in the middle of shopping & restaurants, but with grassy, wooded areas that you can view from the windows, it has a peaceful feel.

When we arrived and checked in, we thought the building looked pretty plain from the outside. But when we got into our room we were very impressed. The room was very, very clean and well-maintained, was nicely decorated, and had a big window facing some Woods. I found it relaxing just sitting at the table looking out the window! The owner/manager was very helpful with any requests we made. The location of this Motel was great! It was a short distance into Grand Rapids, a 30 to 45 minute drive to the Lake Michigan beaches, and about an hour drive to the Loda Lake Wildflower Sanctuary. I would recommend this Motel and I would stay here again!

This is a quaint out of the way motel With adjacent restaurant which has a following of its own. The rooms are no frills rooms with just what you need for a comfortable overnight stay and the thing that struck me when I first walked in was how well kept and clean this space was. You could tell that the caretakers really take there time and look after this old place. That they have made updates over the years and tastefully made updates along the way to keep up with our ever changing times with one foot firmly planted in functionality. I was thinking this is the cleanest hotel room I have been in in at least 14 months and I have been in most of them in the greater grand rapids area and surrounding towns and citys. If more motels/hotels were run the way these people run there operation. The world would be a much better place. O crule wind and the rain..

Very clean, spacious room. This is an older motel that is not plush or modern, but is well maintained. Fresh paint, newer carpet, clean grout in the classic tile bathroom. It was nice to park directly outside my door and I especially appreciated being able to open the windows, which looked out on a grassy area. There was a large, outdoor pool not yet open for the season. The restaurant adjoining the hotel is the star here and can't be beat after along day's drive! They have a surprisingly diverse menu, fresh and well prepared at very reasonable prices.

Very clean and well maintained. Very quiet. I may be old fashioned but I kinda like the ease of access to the room in the "park right in front of the door" type of motels.

We found our room at the Swan Inn to be extremely clean. It may be a bit dated, but everything is well maintained. Air conditioning worked great, room was quiet all night. Breakfast at the attached restaurant was very good. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area. Bed was very firm, but I like that. Even if they could update, I don't see a need to. Everything is clean and works, and their prices are reasonable. Highly recommended!

For a hotel built in the 50's, I was quite impressed at the cleanliness and newer upgrades made to the rooms. No bugs,webs or dust and a fresh coat of paint! Only thing I would of liked to have seen is a mini fridge. Restaurant has excellent food!

Having the restaurant and bar right at the property was very convenient. Check in went very quickly and the room was very clean. Only negative I could find was that the pillows were too firm for me.
