The room was cozy and spotless. Nothing was broken, worn down, or in poor condition. The careful eye for maintenance and housekeeping was evident. There were four bus stops at the resort, and one was always nearby. There were numerous pools, with the highlight pool situated in the heart of the resort. If youre located in one of the buildings on the perimeter, be prepared for a 10 to 15minute walk to dining and other amenities. Speaking of which, there is a cafeteriastyle restaurant as well. By the feature pool, there is a bar as well. Fishing, carriage rides, bike rentals, a general store, bell services, a playground, and other activities are all available, including a boat to the french hamlet. Coin laundry is also accessible. Unfortunately, you will have to rely on Disney buses or a car as the resort is only accessible to the parks in the french quarto. Ive heard horror stories about wait times at some value resorts, but the rates are not too bad considering what you get, but swan and dolphin can be a better deal at times, but not this time. Overall, i had a great time staying here. The room was what you would expect from a moderate resort.

Housekeeping is no longer on a daily basis. Most times we had to call for more clean towels. The food in the food court is not very good except for the pizza and breakfast items. The soda machines were empty way too often as was the ice machines. This has been our 8th time staying at Riverside but the quality of the facility has gone down. French Quarter was so much nicer, especially the pool that was so beautiful & colorful. The food court was so much nicer & cleaner too. We would consider staying there instead of Riverside when we return next year.

This is one of my favorite hotels at Disney world. The location is great, the river trail that runs through it is great, and while the rooms could be more spacious, they are still adequate. I was surprised they nickel and dime for some services, such as adding a $6 fee to your room per package you delivered to the hotel.
