Steps away from the pier, beach and shopping. The room was super cute, spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking was very simple and that was my biggest worry booking a hotel by the beach. We parked in the meter parking at the beach to spend the day at the beach then checked in and quickly and easily moved the car to the hotel parking right after check in, which had valet, so easy! We are talking about booking this every summer from now on.

This was our first time staying at the Doryman, we’ve had several family members stay here through the years. The staff was very kind and helpful, the room was great and the location is awesome. We did have to pay a nightly parking fee, but knowing we could come and go as we please and not lose our spot, made it worth it.

Best location ever - So much going on within walking distance - Room was very cute and bed was very comfortable. The continental breakfast was sub par but there are so many nice options off-site within short walking distance to enjoy.

Staying at Doryman’s Oceanfront Inn was unlike any hotel experience I’ve had before. The property has this incredible old-world Victorian charm that immediately makes you feel transported to another era, yet it still feels cozy and luxurious at the same time. Every room feels unique, full of character, and thoughtfully designed — definitely not your typical cookie-cutter beachfront hotel. The location is unbeatable, directly across from the Newport Pier and steps from the beach, but what really makes this place special is the atmosphere. Between the antique-inspired décor, oceanfront views, rooftop spaces, and the sound of the waves at night, the entire stay felt romantic and memorable. It’s the kind of place that feels hidden and personal rather than commercial. The staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. Small details like the breakfast, fireplaces, and soaking tubs made the experience feel even more special. If you appreciate unique boutique hotels with personality and charm, this property is an absolute gem in Newport Beach.

Rooftop was a great place to watch sunset and the room was clean and beautiful. The restaurant at the hotel, 21 Oceanfront is a great steakhouse with live music. Location is great and I’d definitely go back!
