The property is a bit old with an old smell. The last night that we were there people were so loud around 12 midnight I couldn't get enough sleep for my 5am flight. I would stay here next time just if am really going to party since it's close to some cool Places.

I was hesitant to book here after looking at some older reviews, but it was a perfect stay for my boyfriend and I. The room (w/ queen and private bath) was small, but it was extremely clean and had everything we needed (fridge, dresser, hangers, soap). It looked like fresh paint and new floors, so there's a chance it's been renovated recently. The people running the place were very kind and always around to help out, though we had no issues. You probably want to bring earplugs though because the walls are a little thin and also the area is lively at night. The location was the best part--nestled right in between Chinatown and Little Italy/North Beach, and at most, a 20 min walk to all the piers/Embarcadero/Fisherman's Wharf/Ferry Building, Lombard St, Coit Tower, Union Square, etc. Everyone recommends Tony's pizza and that was a 5 min walk from Europa. No concerns for safety in the area before midnight as it is very lively--there were plenty of people out and about on the weekend in all the homey little bars and restaurants. Thanks for a great stay! We can't wait to come back.

It's a nice hotel by the entertainment district. It's small and I think has a history to it. I love the remodel with paint and upgrade on the locks.
