It was an amazing hotel. It have personalized attentio by the owner Paul such a really nice guy, working to become your stay in a wonderfull experience. Nice and healthy breakfast. The acomodations are awesome. I' ll recomended 100% and i'll repeat my stay in that hotel for sure

Ein großzügiges Quartier, in dem wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Das Frühstück ist nicht besonders üppig, die Fenster sind nicht sehr gut schallisoliert, aber das wird alles durch den Charme und Charakter des Hauses wettgemacht. Die Matratzen sind gut, die Dusche funktioniert bestens, die dazugehörige Küche ist gemütlich und recht ordentlich ausgestattet, man ist in 7-8 Minuten auf der Fähre nach Manhattan, gegenüber gibt es einen kleinen Supermarkt - eine Kleinstadt-Idylle einen Katzensprung von Manhattan entfernt.

Prima bed and breakfast, op een prima plek om New York te bezoeken. 20 minuten varen met de gratis pont en je staat in Manhatten. We hadden een grote kamer, keuken en badkamer beschikbaar. Fantastisch bed. Paul is een erg vriendelijke gastheer. Bij een volgend bezoek aan NYC gaan we hier weer slapen.

There weren’t a lot of frills here, but it was very cozy, clean, and super convenient to the ferry. The early morning breakfast was simple but enough to get us out the door.

La camera era spaziosissima e, attigua, avevamo a disposizione una piccola "sala da pranzo" dotata di frigo, microonde, tostapane e bollitore, nella quale ci veniva servita la colazione al mattino. I proprietari molto diserti ma altrettanto disponibili in caso avessimo bisogno del loro aiuto. Per arrivare al traghetto per Manhattan basta una passeggiata di pochi minuti e lo spettacolo che si guide da ferry è tra le migliori viste di New York , di giorno e soprattutto di notte.

Great affordable place to stay. This was my first time staying at a bed & breakfast and the experience was excellent; the room was large, clean, and comfortable. Also, though it is in Staten Island, the bed & breakfast is just a 5 minute walk from the Staten Island Ferry which offers a ferry to Manhattan every 30 minutes (the ferry trip trip takes about 20 minutes, and from South Ferry in Manhattan it is easy to find a metro line to get to other parts of Manhattan or other boroughs).

A much needed change of pace from your standard hotel. The furnishings are elegant and take you back in time but not in a run down way. Beautiful throughout. The operator is very friendly and helpful but at the same time leaves you alone and it truly feels like you have the whole place to yourself

Paul was flexible gracious and unobtrusive. The rooms were very spacious. The neighborhood could get a little noisy if you're sensitive to that. The neighborhood also wasn't glamorous but that isn't what I needed. I got a great room, for a great price with parking and I was minutes from the Staten Island ferry terminal. It is an easy walk and a free ferry to end up on the south end of Manhattan. I do not think I could have found a better value.

Ca 5 min von der (kostenlosen) Staten Island Ferry entfernt Drei Zimmer - Erdgeschoss (King-Size-Bett und Küche), erster und zweiter Stock (Queen-Size-Bett, ohne Küche); alle mit eigenem Bad, aber zumindest bei uns (1. Stock) nur über Flur zu erreichen Zimmer war groß und sauber; Bad soweit auch, nur die Badewanne war etwas dreckig und das Wasser floss sehr schleppend ab, sprich, nach dem Duschen hatte man das Wasser knöchelhoch stehen Vermieter/Besitzer wohnt auch im Haus und ist total nett und (nach kurzem auftauen) auch sehr gesprächig Frühstück wurde von ihm täglich zu halb 8 Uhr in einen weiteren Raum auf unserem Flur gestellt und bestand aus Brot mit Marmelade, Frischkäse, Butter und viel frischem Obst Ich würde das Hotel auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen, da es wirklich gut und günstig ist und man zudem auch schnell (30 min) auf Manhattan ist

Fort Place B&B is in a great location only a 15 minute walk from the Staten Island ferry, which is a convenient and free way to get to lower Manhattan. A simple but satisfying breakfast is brought to your room at 7:30am which allows lots of time for sightseeing in Manhattan

5 min zur kostenlosen Staten Island Fähre. Man ist in 25 min in Manhatten. Alles sehr sauber, der Wirt Paul ist sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück ist auch für deutsche Ansprüche sehr gut. Guter Kaffee ordentliches Geschirr, keine Pappe. Sehr gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis

The B and B at Fort Place Staten Island was a great place to stay. My room was actually almost like a little apartment with a large master bedroom, my own kitchen and access to a lounge room. The only thing that my little " home" was lacking was a microwave oven as I couldn't get the oven to work. The hosts were very helpful and really made me feel welcome and the location was fantastic. There were plenty of eating options nearby and within a 5-10 min walk. Finally it was also a 10 min walk down to the free Staten Island ferry to Manhatten New York a trip I made twice in my 4 days.

Location was optimum for Staten Island. Breakfast was minimal, not the usual B&B breakfast. Property was beautiful and very comfortable. Hosts were available and super friendly. Happily accommodated a late check-in due to flight delays.
