Queen bed was comfy and the pullout mattress did great for our 2 young kids. Loved the double balcony and the big jacuzzi tub. 33rd st cafe is convenient and has nice staff and good food. Front desk and staff at hotel are friendly and also allowed us to check in early. Kitchen was basically fully accommodating but someone left old food in the oven. Ice machine didn’t make any ice but we just got some from the big machines in the hallway. Overall Great Stay!

The unit is very small but well maintained. Very responsive staff and beautiful ocean view. Easy access to the boardwalk for walking and biking, restaurants and shopping as well as the beach. Highly recommended.

Despite it's modest size, the unit is kept up well. The employees are attentive and have a beautiful ocean view. There is a boardwalk close by which you can go walking, cycle, go to the restaurants, and shop, and the beach is close by. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed our stay. And during the offseason, it is a good idea to stay here. Very large and spotless apartment with two balconies, an oceanfront and an oceanfront. Well-equipped kitchen and jacuzzi tub, but no bathroom supplies cheap shampoo. An indoor pool was pleasant to have on a rainy day. Friendly maintenance and housekeeping personnel. The only complaint I have is the abrupt and almost rude front desk employees referring guests as their room numbers in front of customers. In fact, when I checked out, the front desk employee simply took out her key rather than saying, "did you have a pleasant stay" or "thank you." A training in customer relations would be excellent here. They truly deceived the venue. Not a place I would stay in the off-season it's not worth the cost they charged.

We had a great time during our stay. The perfect place to stay during the off-season. The apartment has 2 balconies, both on the oceanfront and on Atlantic Avenue, and is very roomy and spotless. Kitchen is well-equipped with a jacuzzi tub, but there is no bathroom offering poor-quality shampoo. On a rainy day, the indoor pool was lovely to have. Staff at the cleaning and maintenance team are pleasant. The front desk employees abruptly and incessantly refer to guests as their room number when referring to customers in front of customers, and the receptionist just held up her hand for the key when checking out. In fact, the front desk employee just gave the key while you were there or thank you. A course in customer relations would be beneficial here. They let the establishment down. It's not a place I would stay in during high season, it's not worth the price.

Property could use some up dating. Has peeling wallpaper and stained tub. Also parking garage is extremely narrow makes it hard to park. Room was nice enjoyed my stay. Would stay again

Room was very run down making it feel unclean. There were also a number of signs that the room wasn’t deep cleaned. Dirt in corners and hair in the bathroom. But staff was very nice and helpful

We have stayed at The Four Sails every time we have visited Va. Beach and that's been on and off for 30 years now. We love the location and every room is ocean front. The property has made improvements in that time, but it still has a long way to go. The staff has always been courteous. The couch was comfy to sit on. There's the positives in my review. The replacement flooring that replaced the carpet the room once had already shows it's age and needs replacing. Chips, scratches and buckling. The carpet in the rest of the room needs replacing. It's old and shows it's age. Two of the three faucets constantly leaked. This was brought the the attention of the front desk upon checkout where they immediately informed maintenance. All the metal blinds have rust and our bedroom sliding door would not lock. The tub had sand in it from the previous occupant and all mirrors needed a good cleaning. Our slider in the bedroom needed the glass cleaned also. Corners of the room needed a good cleaning. There's always a bunch of materials sitting in a spot not far from the main entrance in the garage. Which you don't have to pay to park in by the way. You couldn't get a car in there, but it's unsightly and usually has leaves and dirt in it and can be a hazard trying to walk around. They don't enforce the handicap parking. They have it, but it seems anyone can park there. Over all the room looked tired and that's a shame. It has my wife wanting to try somewhere else next time.

Price not worth it tub was great but place is outdated compared to other hotels for that price. bed extremely uncomfortable,carpet turned our feet black. Parking deck very tight only certain members got special parking places. They cut our room lock key off 40 minutes before checkout got locked out of our room. Hotel is in a great spot for the shopping and eating. But the bed definitely a deal breaker for me expected a better one
