The motel has new owners as of a few weeks ago. Although the rooms need some updating, the new owners have taken on quite a project. Ours was sparkling clean, the bed was comfortable, and the rates were affordable. The owners are extremely friendly and accommodating, making sure to ask if there was anything they could do to make our stay even more enjoyable. The location is fantastic, with dining, shopping, and many nature trails all within walking distance. A great value right on the coast!.

I had a great weekend at the Four Winds Motel in Depot Bay! The sitting room and sleeping areas are separated, the rooms are cozy and climate controlled, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the view of the bay is great. Youll spend a lot more up and down the highway for the few amenities this charming place does not provide. Is.. The Wing Wa Restaurant and Lounge had good Chinese food and weekend karaoke right next door.

For a group of men with whom I frequent fishing each year, I have reserved a hotel accommodation over the past several years. I made my reservations for five rooms for one night well in advance of June 24 this year, and the hotel staff contacted me the day before to revoke our reservation. Our fishing excursion was impacted by the canceled reservation, which added an additional headache, cost high lodging during a high traffic beach weekend due to a heatwave, and made for a very stressful update to a well-deserved weekend. When I inquired, they informed me that there was a water leak and that the entire property was to be vacated. No cancellation was made for a different friend's reservation for that evening. In addition, another friend called to discuss making a special reservation, and they were pleased to oblige for the same evening. It should be noted that I and the 10 men who travel fishing each year will no longer be staying at the hotel, and I will also caution others to do so.

I found this motel to have recently changed owners and been upgraded. I believe a roof was installed a while back. I checked into the premises last week. The desk clerk had to shift us from room 8 to room 7 due to a broken shelf, she said. When we arrived, it was colder than the outside, and that was December. There was only one thin blanket on the bed. I informed the desk clerk that the heater in the room was not working. She immediately offered me a space heater rather than a room where the heater worked? The room finally warmed up about 10 i. I. It's as if she knew the heater wasn't working. The sink faucet leaked horribly from its stem. There were cracks, breaks, missing hardware, etc. The room was clean, but it was awful. The steps from this old motorcourt are an accident waiting to happen and not even near ADA compliant. I felt pity for the poor desk clerk Tonya because she had to deal with a lot of dissatisfied customers to keep the apparently greedy owner happy. The property must have been bought as an investment in real estate and the owner doesn't intend to invest one dime in it other had absolutely required til the highwayfrontage property can be resold for a profit.
