Family of four, two parents two kids, we needed a place for 1 night close to 95 so we could continue our drive north. Location could not be better - get off the highway, its right there, get right back on the highway. No drama, no traffic. To be frank, some of the comments on this place made me nervous for cleanliness, but those must have been old because our room was spotless when we came in, clean sheets, etc. The beds were pretty comfortable for a motel, but not luxurious. Check-in was easy. One guy, but he knew what he was dong and processed us easily and quickly. Breakfast from 7 to 9am. Cereal, muffins, bread, coffee, orange juice. Nothing fancy, totally as advertised.

When we checked in, our laptop was having trouble accessing the internet from our room. The manager reset it, but when our laptop still had trouble, he gave us the option to move to another room at no extra cost. Great customer service on his part since there was nothing actually wrong with the internet, just our laptop! Clean rooms, hot water, good overall experience

I love motels, mainly because you get to park right outside your room and they are usually larger and quieter than the big hotels. The Gateway Inn is no exception. Don't expect frills or it to be fancy, just a good, comfortable & quiet sleep for a great price.

Clean basic accommodation with quiet location, easy access from I95 and useful amenities such as microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker. Excellent friendly staff.

While driving home from Florida to New Jersey, we decided to stop in Virginia. This hotel seems to be off of the beaten path because you can't easily see it at night but was just what we needed after driving for 12 hours. The room was clean, comfortable and suited our needs.

The room that we had need a good cleaning ,the door is dirty and the chairs are finished,they need to be change . The bed and pillows are confortable and clean. The tiles in the bathroom need a good cleaning and the walls in the bathroom are dirty. We already usedthis motel before and the other rooms were ok but the one that we had this time need a good cleaning.

Would definitely stay here again. Room was clean and bigger than anticipated. Only downside was location. Basicaly right iff I-95, but down a poorly lit, heavily wooded, nearly gravel service road. My teenage son said something to the effect of "I've seen this movie, Mom. There's a guy with a chainsaw right behind that tree." Front desk guy was very pleasant. I was a bit skeptical of the hotel - motel actually, doors outside - but the room was very clean, beds were comfy, AC worked. Can't ask for too much more for the price.

The room was adequate; it was clean; adequately comfortable; quiet location; staff was helpful in giving us information on takeout since no restaurant was available. Breakfast was very lean, not much to choose from.

The rooms are spacious but they need to be cleaned better. need to use some lysol or other cleaner for deodorizing or air out rooms that have not been used for a while

The place is under new management & staff was helpful. It needs improvements but the bed was comfortable. The price was right for a quick sleep on a long trip. My room smelled a bit like it had been closed up for a long time. I hope they continue with making it what it once was.
