We would return. On the calm side of the grand canyon's north rim, the hotel has an ideal location. The rooms were quaint and had a little bathroomshower. The room featured a mini fridge, but no microwave. They provided several coffees and teas to use in the keristyle coffee maker. The rooms we were in each had a queen bed, a 3 I 4 table and 2 chairs, and a folding luggage rack. No air conditioning made it comfortable to sleep in mid-july. Some helped with the window and ceiling fan.

We ate outside on the porch of the cabin, and we got the same fantastic view. There was no ac on the ceiling fan, the sheets were spotless, and the floor could have used vacuuming.

My wife and kids were lucky enough to stay the night with us. But, in that rim side pioneer cabin the location was excellent. The air was full of dust, grit, and cobwebs everywhere. In the shower, I found dirty spots and dirty carpet. The place should be updated, cleaned, and lighting is better in the room. Love the authentic rustic cabin, but it needs some updating, cleaning and lighting.

I was concerned after reading some of the reviews this season. We booked a western cabin for 3 nights last December. Although the cabin is old, it was clean and comfortable. Checkin was simple, I walked in at the reception desk, I didn't wait and was handed a key to the cabin. We were in room 323. Very near to the lodge! The air conditioner didn't work, but the windows were open, and the breeze was nice. Loved the porch and chairs. No daily maid service, but I didn't need it when I had hygiene concerns. They will come and change towels and other items as needed. Only a few minutes to rim and lodge!.
