Hotel front desk members were amazingly friendly and helpful with recommendations while in Newport and hospitality during our stay. Our room with a marina view was great. Things of note: a very comfortable bed, hot shower with good water pressure, plenty of usb outlets, blackout curtains, and plenty of space for both my husband and I to spread out our bags. Love the ease and convenience of valet parking with in and out privileges as parking is at a premium in Newport in July. The location, decor, and setting of the Hammetts Hotel makes for a delightful getaway. Looking forward to staying here again.

We booked this for our first trip to Newport and hit the jackpot. The location is perfect for the walkable town. The facilities look brand spanking new. The service was impeccable from the valet to the front desk to the cleaning and maintenance staff. Their recommendations on where to go and what to see were spot on for first time visitors. The rooms were a perfect size. Think of a high-end cruise cabin with all the amenities you would want without a ton of wasted space. The provided coffee is the perfect way to wake up and look out over the harbor on their back deck. Dining options are plenty and nearby. The trolly for the tours of the mansions is a short 8-10 minute walk down the street. I sound like I'm gushing but Kathy and I truly enjoyed our stay there.

Beautiful location in the center of it all, right on a wharf. Great hotel with scenic views, valet parking and modern decor. We will definitely be back; highest recommendation!

This is my second time staying at the hotel and it was as lovely as the first time. The location is perfect, steps from so many restaurants and an easy walk to Bellevue Ave. I loved being right on the harbor with the amazing views and the outdoor patio to sit and enjoy the cool evening breeze. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Newport.

This was the perfect stay for our 2 nights in Newport. The location was lovely, the hotel room and overall hotel were maintained and super clean. Staff was incredibly helpful. The wharf was less than a 3 minute walk, Nitro Bar coffee was a 5 minute walk. All food and drinks we had in the area were great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone for their stay in Newport.

Beautiful hotel, great views, will stay here again. Needs a hotel bar inside, near the back door to the water. The restaurant and bar on the other side of the hotel is open to the public and very difficult to get a seat. Would be nice to have a place to get a drink and unwind on the beautiful deck.

The hotel is located very centrally to everything we can walk everywhere. The only downfall I found is at the gym was very small for that size hotel . If they don’t serve breakfast, but they do offer coffee in the morning.

First time in Newport and this was the best experience as the hotel was right in the center. Fantastic courtyard overlooking the harbor.
