This is a Historic Hotel in downtown South Haven. You can tell there is thought put into the comfort of your stay there. The bonus was a full breakfast included during our stay. So convenient to enjoying downtown and the beach. We felt comfortable and it was quiet.

Highly recommend this wonderful B&B! Just a 5 minute walk from South Beach and plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, the location was perfect. Family friendly, wonderful staff, and delicious breakfast included. So glad we stayed here for our first trip to South Haven!

My two cousins and I recently stayed the weekend at this Historic Hotel. We loved our stay. The hotel is awesomely historic and unique with comfortable room and beds, gracious friendly staff, super happy hour with drinks and charcuterie, delicious breakfast each morning, great location within walking distance to shops, restaurants, beach and the lighthouse. Parking can be a challenge during peak tourist time. This was our second stay here and we plan on future stays. We would not stay any where else. It’s a must stay!

We loved this hotel! The breakfast was amazing. Having a night cap was so easy with the in lobby keg and wine made it super easy. Only complaint was no fan in the bathroom but would 10/10 stay here again!

I really enjoy the character of historic hotels. I think they are neat if well kept up, and Historic Hotel Nichols did not disappoint. It was in walking distance to the lake/pier. There was free parking very close by and we were able to take advantage of parking in front of the hotel, but there were limitations. This property is over 140 years old, but is very well kept up. It has a lot of charm and the rooms were very clean. Nick, as well as all the staff worked very hard and were extremely flexible, helpful and kind. We enjoyed our made-to-order breakfasts and enjoyed being downtown with the shops and near the lake. A couple of things to note was that there is no elevator, so I was really glad that 1 of our 3 rooms were located on the first floor so that my my father, who is in his 80's and walks with a cane, could easily get to his room. Although we helped my parents with the parking around the corner, it would've been too much for them if they had been alone. We really enjoyed our stay at this property.

Historic Building, beautiful hardwood flooring and decor. Feels like your staying at a friends house, instead pf a hotel. Staff is SO nice and helpful. They treated you like family. They offer you a free breakfast from scratch, no buffet and they have it ready for you at the time you designate. It's amazing! On top of that if you are an amenities person, they a free Happy Hour where they off free local beer on tap and local wines along with a charcuterie board your mom would be proud of. All for free! Not to mention, it's super safe and you can even leave your hotel room unlocked, if you so desired and you would still be fine. Your stuff would still be there, and not a single person would bother you. On the top of that, you are directly across from many shops and restaurants. This is the perfect location!! Please go there as I don't.I will be going back as soon as I can. This place is placed was phenomenal! 100 out of 10 stars.

We had a great stay. Check in was easy and the staff were all very nice. Breakfast was also really great. The hotel is also centrally located, so it’s easy to get around. The only note on the location is that you’ve gotta compete for public parking. But we went on Memorial Day weekend and were pretty much fine in locating parking. Would stay again!

We have been staying in SoHa for over 20 years and Hotel Nichols was our first place and now again a recent stay. We went back for the charm and central location. The newer owners have improved the property with new furnishings and the outdoor courtyard. They also provide an extensive made-to-order breakfast every morning. The innkeeper and staff were welcoming and service oriented. A great experience!!
