Location was excellent, near everything but quiet. There were venues on either side of the hotel with free music close enough to walk to in the evenings. Room was quiet, bed was comfortable. Room was very small but adequate. We stayed on the first floor, just a few steps away from the old-time diner counter that was stocked with coffeemaker, hot chocolate, plates, and silverware. There was a nice little shaded eating area outdoors as well. Quirky but fun.

I almost don't like leaving such a positive review because I don't want it to get hard to book, but this place deserves it. They do such a great job and MJ is always welcoming and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the location is convenient.

Retro-chic, clean, cute, and comfortable. Appreciated the musical instruments in the lobby that were available to play with friends, and the very friendly check-in staff person (and small dog). Good location in downtown Sturgeon Bay, easy walks to restaurants and other sites.

Super welcoming. I came in during a blizzard and they offered another day to stay free of charge. If you’re passing by and don’t wanna break the bank, definitely give them a go.

Cool vibe of a classic hotel that has been updated to accommodate the 21st century. Room was clean and well appointed. It’s is true retro, so not much counter space in bathroom and other (minor!) similar things. Friendly and helpful staff

Staff were great. It is by far the most unique and pleasant hotels we have stayed in. They have left no stone unturned for their guests. The little touches and atmosphere do not go unnoticed and it’s like stepping back to a different time. You will not be disappointed.
