Tara and Tiffany at the front desk are absolutely fabulous! Very helpful, kind, and friendly. I felt very welcomed and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. It is a perfect location for exploring Hood River and White Salmon and the areas around – great hiking nearby, great restaurants, and an experience not to be missed in the Pacific Northwest.

I absolutely loved staying here! Check in was easy and staff was friendly. The room had a great view of the Columbia River. I will stay here again. ❤️

What a cool old hotel. Lots of history in this building. If you’re a light sleeper, I recommend the ear plugs because the train is super loud.

There is no car parking for this hotel. You can park on the street and street after 6 PM to 8 AM next day. Otherwise $1.25 per hour. This hotel has a very rustic feel. There is no fridge coffee maker or microwave in the room stuff can accommodate with hot water and ice cubes.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Hood River Hotel. We love location right in downtown Hood River and appreciate the personal attention we receive from the staff. Our room had a Columbia River view and was very clean and comfortable. I'm sure we'll find ourselves staying there again!

It’s a sweet hotel. The room was clean and the staff was super friendly. There is no fridge or coffee machine in the room, but they offer excellent coffee downstairs. And a free beer! And lots of restaurants and shops nearby.

This hotel is conveniently located next to shops and restaurants. The room was not only clean but the decorations were an added plus. My family and I enjoyed all the amenities and will definitely recommend a stay here.

Lovely lobby, chill atmosphere, fun games and art, complimentary drinks, easy parking arrangements off site but close by, wonderful location. Highly recommend. This did not deter us, but it did not have a mini fridge, which might have come in handy for us.

I didn’t use the bar or the kitchen, but the room itself was very nice. And it was kind of fun using the type of elevator you find in some older hotels in England.

I enjoyed both the location and the charm of the Hood River Hotel. As the hotel is over a hundred years old it's layout and amenities brought out feelings in me from a bygone era! The breakfast that I had was delightful with a hearty selection on the menu and it was tasty! Unfortunately, trying to get a morning cup of coffee in my room was impossible as trying to brew a cup was a challenge that 'bested' me! Finally, the broken roller switches on the electric cords to the wall mounted lamps, on each side of the bed, worried me as the building is old and the egress window would have been difficult to use in an emergency. The staff were very helpful and they were polite! All in all I would enjoy staying in the hotel again! Jim

Location can't be beat, super walkable. Floors squeak, train is very nearby, freeway is very nearby, but the location (!). I had to turn off the floor aircon to sleep. Street parking is free overnight 6pm-8am and plentiful. Breakfast/resto does not open until 8am (!) but there are two excellent coffee shops nearby that open at 6am (Ground) and 6:30 (Freshies) and serve breakfast. Great water pressure, comfy bed. Would return.

This place is OLD and it’s somehow been maintained better than even brand new hotels. Incredibly charming, warm, comfortable, and dreamy.
